How narcissistic of the audience to sing along when the song is not even remotely anthemic and is designed to showcase the vocalist fully. It's a generational thing, I think - main character mentality.
It's simply people enjoying being at a rock show🙂. This is not a theater performance and Ville is not an opera singer wanting to showcase his perfect technique. I'd leave generation out of this, 20 years ago people would sing along even louder...
