Luxury Wedding at The Lodge at Torrey Pines 2024 - Cydney and Colm

THE STORY FLOW OF EVENTS
The day began with excitement and anticipation as we prepared the Arroyo Terrace for Cydney and Colm's wedding. The terrace, with its stunning views and serene ambiance, was the perfect backdrop for their vows. We had a branded dance floor featuring "C & C," adding a personal touch to the setting. The officiant, Kim, used a hands-free microphone, ensuring every word resonated beautifully with the guests. Eliana Strings, San Diego's premier string quartet, provided the elegant background music.
After the beautiful ceremony, we transitioned to the patio deck of the Charles Reiffel and Charles Fries rooms for the cocktail hour, keeping guests away from the transformation happening at Arroyo Terrace. During this time, the ceremony space was turned into a gorgeous dinner reception area. Every detail, from flowers to table settings and string lights, was meticulously arranged to create a spectacular setup. The couple had a private viewing of the reception space, appreciating the effort put into making their vision a reality. They also had a private cake-cutting as the sun set, offering a stunning view.
As guests were invited back to Arroyo Terrace, the beautiful setup, accompanied by upbeat music, left them in awe. For the outdoor dinner reception, I used two white LD Maui 28G2 speakers and a white Pro-X DJ booth, ensuring clear audio for music and announcements. The evening started with a grand entrance for the couple, enhanced by cold sparklers and their song, "Bitter Sweet Symphony." Their choreographed First Dance to "Like Real People Do" by Hozier was followed by a welcome speech from the bride's dad and a delicious meal from The Lodge.
As the sun set, twinkling lights added a classy touch to the white dance floor, creating an elegant atmosphere. During dinner, I played acoustic covers of popular love songs, perfectly setting the mood and receiving positive feedback from the guests. Special dances with the parents and heartfelt speeches highlighted the dinner reception. At 10:00 p.m., we moved the party indoors to the Charles Reiffel and Charles Fries rooms due to the outdoor curfew.
Inside, the party continued with a different setup: my video DJ booth on stage, party lights, uplights, and premium sound, transforming the room into a club-like atmosphere. The sound setup included BassBoss BB15 Mk2 subwoofers and BassBoss DV12 Mk3 tops. To personalize the space, I displayed a picture of the couple on my TV screen. Lights around the room and party lights synced with the music, creating a vibrant party atmosphere. For non-dancers, we had lounge furniture and a separate room with late-night snacks and drinks.
Entertainment included a second grand entrance for the couple, a champagne pour, and non-stop dancing. The night was so enjoyable that the couple extended my set for another half-hour, with guests asking for one more song at the end-a huge compliment for any DJ.
Overall, the night was a blast for Cydney, Colm, and all their guests. Thank you for having me!
