Beautiful job. Is the glue mixture flour and water? I am really impressed with the final version of your prints. I have just started trying to learn gyotaku as a way to artistically preserve my catches. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Thanks Ross, yes I’m using flour and water paste it’s been trial and error to get the right mix! It seems to depend on the paper and the dampness of the day! I’ve also seen people using wallpaper paste too. Good luck

Thanks for the video! Does avoiding thin creases in the final product just come down to paper quality and practice? Or are there any other tips or tricks to help avoid them? Thanks!

@@themaxeymanful lots of practice and a few disasters. You can practice with blank paper until you’re more confident to avoid disasters. Wish I’d thought of that 😂

Great video! What are your water-to-flour ratios for your glue?

@@SaltyNotSalty I don’t measure it. Initially I make a ratio of one flour to 3 water and then let it down more before use. It’s almost as thin as water
