I ate there but it wasn't for breakfast. The wait was two and a half hours to get seated. We debated whether the food was worth the wait, but the view out the wndow was beautiful and we were hungry.
Wow! 2 1/2 hours!! That’s crazy! We live about 30 minutes from there but only go when we know it’s not high tourist time but didn’t know the wait would be that long. Of course, there is plenty of shopping around there to kill the time with while you’re waiting!😂
@jennifermountaingirl High tourist time was our mistake on that trip. We ended up going to a lot of paid attractions to avoid the crowds. One thing that surprised me was how many people from India were there. The men and boys would take any available seating and make the women and girls stand. My daughter told me repeatedly to not say anything. She knows I am old school southern.

I Love the old mill district. I’ve eaten a couple of times at the Old Mill Restaurant and really enjoyed the food. I also love the pottery cafe and grill. Thanks for the great video.

I never knew Canadian geese went that far south I live in Pennsylvania near Lancaster and I live in an apartment complex with a pond in front of the complex and we get geese in there every year and they have at least 5 or 6 little geese

You should come to Oregon and go to Bob's Red Mill in Milwaukie, Oregon and Tollgate Inn Restaurant and Saloon AND Bakery in Sandy Oregon.

Does the sun ever shine there? It seems like every one of your videos is on a cloudy day. I wonder what this area looked like before Dollywood? The traffic looks horrible. The pancakes looked great but how was the syrup? If the syrup isn't good it doesn't matter how good the pancakes are. I hate it when they put fruit on my plate for decoration. I don't want the flavor spilling over. I worked many years in restaurants and breakfast was always my favorite time to cook. It's unbelievable how quickly it can be cooked.
Thanks definitely looks like to go boxes on that breakfast, looks yummy, we are new subscribers my wife and I went last September for my wife’s birthday and really enjoyed the area when not so crowded, heading over to Gatlinburg with our 13 year old grandson this time tomorrow for 4 days , keeping our fingers crossed even though Tuesday and Wednesday looks to be an interesting weather day we will see what we can do 😳, hope to venture over to pigeon forge Thursday we will be bundled up, any tips would be appreciated, hope to at least be able to sneak into Howards restaurant when we check into are River Edge lodge tomorrow for dinner in Gatlinburg 😀
Still going to be busy for spring break, quick tips would be to look at websites for waitlist options online, or reservations, eat on the early side if possible, and give yourself plenty of time to get around.. anything in particular you would like to know?

I love the old mill's chicken and dumplings. Ive never had the breakfast. Since you're locals where would you recommend for the best omelettes made with cubed ham and pancakes?

Been there before many many years ago. Did you ever try the Funnel Cake Factory yet? If you haven't, I highly recommend you do 😊 The funnel cakes are huge!!! And so good

We didn't make it to The Old Mill on this trip to The Smokys but we did enjoy a dinner at The Pottery House. We did make it to Pinchy's for a lunch. If you decide to try Pinchy's in Sevierville don't forget your wallet 😅😊

Enjoy your videos very much. Really wish you would show the menus. By the way they aren't "canadian geese" they are Canada geese named for a person, not the country.
The menu was posted in the middle of the video, right before we went in the store, we post them in most of the videos! Interesting! I didn’t know that about the geese!! I’ll read up on that…

If we go somewhere and it’s bad, we always give it a second shot before we will post a bad review. Everyone can have a bad day.
OUCH! They're expensive! $40 for 2 people for a simple breakfast? I'd have to pass on that. I bet there's a diner in town with a better breakfast for half the price.
You are paying for food, clean-up, cooks, servers and overhead - y’know, rent, etc.
@@darcyjorgensen5808 I started working in restaurants when I was 18, by 19 I was a restaurant manager and did that for most of my life. I know where the money goes. LOL $40 still seems way to high for 2 for breakfast.
It is but we are a tourist area and tourists LOVE IT! So they charge the extra $ because they can!
