Why are we trying to glorify the boss, babe? What can be more critical than raising children? You're either working for a company that doesn't care about you and would fire you when you don't do your job properly, or you work for your family, who will always love you. If A woman works A full-time job, she allows Someone else to raise the kids instead of her. Is it better for the mother to raise the kids or some stranger? Eish Chail refers to A woman at home, not in the office. Just get A translation of the Hebrew to see.
The approach of Conservative Judaism to adapt Torah laws to fit modern lifestyles is not just illogical-it’s dangerous. By molding divine commandments to meet contemporary values, this movement undermines the entire foundation of Judaism.
Consider the issue of marriage laws: Conservative Judaism’s reinterpretation contradicts clear Torah directives, effectively making subjective decisions about what should be objective, divine commands. This isn’t about adapting to modernity; it’s about distorting timeless truths to suit personal preferences.
True engagement with the Torah means seeking to understand God’s will, not twisting it to fit our lives. Orthodox Judaism does not bend to the whims of changing times, but preserves the sanctity and integrity of our faith as it was intended-uncompromised and unaltered.
This shift towards convenience over commandment in Conservative Judaism doesn’t signify evolution but a deviation from the logical, time-honored practice of following God’s explicit instructions. We must resist such changes to maintain the authenticity and continuity of Jewish law.
