      I'm sorry to hear that, Tiara! There are a lot of us out here who are still in the recovery phase, waiting for life to get back to "normal'. I hope you have a great care team guiding your journey! Continued healing to you and grace and peace for the journey ahead. 💚

    So glad UA-cam recommended this! Thank you for sharing! I'm also a long hauler. I had a breakthrough infection last May. Things have gotten a lot better - thankfully, I'm able to work, but not too much more than that. Specifically, I appreciate your discussion of getting the vaccine. I'm getting a booster in a few days and I hope it will help. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Thanks again!

      Thank you for watching, David! I'm sorry to hear you're a fellow long hauler - this journey is a roller coaster ride. I hope the booster helps with minimizing and eventually eradicating your symptoms. I've seen emerging research that shows it seems to be helping many but more people are reporting that it's had no effect on long-haul symptoms. Still, I'm hoping for a good outcome for you!

      @@LifeinThirdPlaces Yeah, the RUN-DMC channel and FNIH channel had some surveys that seemed well done and say what you've said - most people don't report a change. The percentages seem to be in favor of no change or better as compared to those folks who report feeling worse after vaccination. So, yeah, it's a little bit of a gamble but I've been at a plateau for quite a few weeks and figured I might as well give it a try. Worst comes to worst, I'll feel a bit worse but I've been there. Thanks for the well wishes and continued healing for you!

      @@davidhanselman9050 So long as we all continue to heal, I'm all about pushing forward with the trial and error. It's kind of all we have right now as scientists, researchers, and medical professionals are working behind the scenes to figure this thing out. Take good care, David!

    Hello from a fellow long-hauler! (Though my case looks very different - I share pieces of it on my channel). Just want to say I love your outlook on everything and I’m glad you are in the portion of long-haulers who have 1) been helped by the vaccine and 2) been able to find a good group of doctors - SO RARE!!

    • @LifeinThirdPlaces

      Hello, fellow long hauler! Thank you for your comment. I count myself blessed on both counts, even though I still struggle with symptoms. (This last week, in particular, has been ROUGH.) Still, I'm grateful!
      I just checked out your channel - will definitely sub and watch your vids. There are so many of us out here ... the journey isn't pleasant but it's good to know we're not alone. :)

      Thank you, lovely! The unfortunate part is that wasn't even a hike. I was just walking back to my car from walking to the clearing. :( I'll get back to hiking someday!

    I am glad you shared. I have been fighting joint pain that I originally though started post covid, but I never heard anyone suggest that was something that could happen.

    • @LifeinThirdPlaces
      @LifeinThirdPlaces  2 роки тому

      Wow, thank you for sharing that, Kevin. I was talking to someone who had COVID a few months ago and she also talked about having persistent joint pain. She's in her mid-20s. It's definitely a thing! Would be interested in knowing how you're managing it? I'll be sharing what I'm doing in a future video but it's been a whole lot of trial and error.

      @Kevin Bell try cutting Gluten out of your diet, I am not Gluten intolerant but suffered really bad muscle and joint pain after catching Covid and experiencing chronic fatigue, when I cut out Gluten after 6 days all of my muscle and joint pain had gone. Check out Dr. Bruce Patterson of INCELLDX he has derived a treatment protocol using a drug for high cholesterol and another drug for HIV he has completely cured a woman called Andrea Berlin of all of her LH Symptoms including Chronic fatigue Good luck in your recovery.

    It's almost 4:30 in the afternoon. I've gotten up for a cup of tea, and to make oatmeal. That's all I can do. 😴

      I totally understand that! Keep resting and doing what you need to do to continue along the path of healing. I hope you have a good care team around you who listens and seeks to understand what's going on with your body post-COVID. The ups and downs are real!

    Tell me your symptoms and r u fully recovered?? What is recovery duration??

    • @LifeinThirdPlaces
      @LifeinThirdPlaces  2 роки тому +1

      I'm not fully recovered and am in month 13. Like many who are dealing with long COVID, my symptoms vary from week to week. The "big" and consistent ones: virus-induced asthma, fatigue, dysautonomia, headaches, joint pain, eye issues, and brain fog/cognitive issues. Unfortunately, there is no standard recovery duration.

    What supplements are u on? Did u have any issues with your legs paining for no reason?it's been 16weeks in and symptoms feels like they keep exchanging and I hate it. I also don't know what to do with my sch because I have exams next month and haven't been studying 🙃
    So glad u feel better. Covid is the devil

    • @LifeinThirdPlaces
      @LifeinThirdPlaces  2 роки тому +1

      Hey there! I've been taking vitamin D, C, calcium/magnesium/zinc, riboflavin (B2), a B-complex, and antihistamines. I also take probiotics because, apparently, COVID messes with your gut microbiome. I agree, the symptoms keep exchanging - I've been struggling with fatigue and head/eye pressure the last 10+ days - and COVID is the devil.
      My legs didn't pain me but my hands and feet did. My friend that I talked to last week who's struggling after getting it 3 months ago had mystery leg pain, though.
      Wishing you all the best on your exams next month! I can't imagine dealing with this while in school. Hope things come right for you and that your symptoms completely go away!

    You have a chronic red rashesh ?? And persistent cough??

    • @LifeinThirdPlaces
      @LifeinThirdPlaces  2 роки тому +1

      No, sorry - no chronic rash for me. The persistent cough is a yes, though. It's generally linked to my virus-induced asthma or excess mucous. Not fun!
