I also think martinelli needs to be converted to a centre forward and play through the middle on the shoulder of the last man - with his energy and willingness to run in behind it could really change a lot for us; especially because technically as a winger he lacks in vital areas such as crossing and close control dribbling. He’s proved much more effective in and around the box as a goal threat than as a provider for others. Trossard is much more a creative players but lacks the pace to play as a central striker. If Henry can convert then so can martinelli
When we get Calafiori, we all wouldn’t want to see Zinchencko at left back. Zinchencko’s plus side is that he can invert into midfield so why not change him into a #8 and save money for a striker?

Besides, the project at Arsenal is very compelling right now, and his place is by no means under threat even if we ended up signing Viktor Gyökeres. I think the problem will start with him if we get Nico Williams in addition to that. With Williams on that team, Gabriel Martinelli is too good not to be starting games, so Martinelli would start playing centrally.
