Awesome video! Just FYI, Software I and II were replaced with five courses being Version Control, Java Fundamentals, Java Frameworks, Back-end programming, and advanced Java. I had to switch over on June 1st.
@@alexdoescode1 Thanks, brother! I must say you were a big inspiration to me as well. And I made use of your helpful tips in a number of classes. I'm sure a lot of people did the same. I look forward to hearing about your job prep/hunt in the future. Good luck brother!
I’m scared. I’m almost done with my bootcamp and feel like that’s not enough to get my foot in the door so here I am. I fear I might get my degree but won’t retain all of the information I learned
Congrats! I’ll be starting WGU, and majoring in Computer Science, starting early next year. Transferring in an associates in CS and a few credits from the college I went to afterwards for about 2 semesters. Hope your grinding of leetcode and making projects have been going well for the past two months! Been watching a few of your videos to get an idea of what to expect. I’m not too worried about getting more credits through the Study website, mainly reviewing Python, Java, and Data Structures and Algorithms before I start.
I need to make an update video. I’ve been interview prepping these last several months. Going to start applying next week as viciously as possible. I’m aiming for big tech as I currently make close to six figures in my current job in tech sales. I have time to choose to the best jobs and prepare as best as I can. And it doesn’t really make a ton of sense for me to take a “bottom of the barrel” dev job 40-50k. As that would be nearly half my income.
Congrats! Capstone was a breeze for me. I just created a working protype of the Ai writeup from C951. Integrated my model on a fullstack webpage with user authentication, crud features, real time data visualizations in the dashboard.Probably overkill but I knew that was going to be the focal point for swe interviews. Did you land a role already?
Thanks, and that's good to hear. I haven't yet in terms of a SWE position. I'm going to be spending the next 2-3 months grinding Leetcode before I apply probably in Sept. I'm not in a mega-rush, I have a sale position that's OTE six figures, base 70k. So I'm waiting till I get prepped enough so I can land at least a $70k/yr job. And if that means taking a little more time to prep and apply, I'll take it. I know eventually SWE should outpace sales, but I'm not in the biggest rush to transition till it's right.
Bro, I have OS for Programmers and my Capstone and I'll be finished.
Let’s goooo!
Keep it up and congrats!
Congrats!! 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks! You’ve been a huge inspiration to me!
I hope you make more videos! Would love to hear your thoughts about the program in hindsight. And what you did afterwards.
I may one of these days! Been very busy grinding ledtcode and stuff haha

Oh yeah! I think I saw the email update for that. Then I probably won’t make videos for those haha.
Thanks for letting me know!
Awesome! Congrats Alex! 🥳
Thank you so much! You were also a big inpirarion for me.
Hope your studies are going well!

Congratulations ❤🎉

You’ll learn during the job and after the boot camp.
You can’t retain everything. Just point of the game is to keep learning.
Where are you at in your journey? Any update? What bootcamp..and did you pursue WGU?
Congrats!

Will do!
Congrats! How did you pre study?
Thanks! I made some videos on it.
But long story short. I looked up the classes on Reddit and studied the available resources.
congrats i just start my MS in IT management and looking forward to any advice
Nice! You got this!
Let’s go! Congrats!
Thanks!
Quick question was calculus absolutely neccesary to learn during this course?
No it wasn’t.
How are you doing now?
Still grinding leetcode. Been prettt busy since I’m been at a startup doing sales.
Going to start aggressively applying soon.
are you applying to jobs now or are you already working in tech?
