    Nice video!
I have a few little emulation handhelds, an anbernic rg405m, and a rg353vs. Both are incredibly capable little machines - and because of how they're made, battery life is pretty nice on them too!
Older devices really suffer when it comes to power consumption unfortunately, and old laptops are not as portable as I'd like haha.

I've looked at these two as well, but currently I still have to fully test out the V90, RGB10Max and Miyoo Mini+ before getting more.
To be fair this laptop is on the smaller side :,D (the same person who I got this one from gave me a newer 17" one they used till I got them a new one. It weighs at least 2 to 3 times more)

@@dyXurChannel i picked up a GPD win3 a few days ago now, just got around to testing it - running windows with an i7 and 16gb of ram - it can emulate ps2 at full speed!
i'm blown away with it's performance

@@Crusade Been eying the GPD series since the first one, but could never justify the price. But I've seen many mention that the new one is quite good.

the end goal isnt to play the games for the least amount of money, its to have a decently capable system in a neat affordable package
an old laptop is by all means ewaste, useless for anything modern because it goes tits up with even the lightest cryptography
sure it might technically have better raw performance than a microcontroller for specific use cases, but it will only achieve that with magnitudes more power consumption

I wouldn't call it E-Waste, but yeah it does need far more power to perform it's actions.

@@dyXurChannel its ewaste for all practical purposes, power costs will quickly add up and surpass the additional cost for modern hardware
the only use is as a museum piece, nostalgia

Have you considered added on an emulator frontend to the laptop? You could always hook it up to a TV with some usb controllers for a couch-gaming system then.

Frontends are nice, when you have some room to spare, but I found in most cases that the standalone ones perform just better. You won't notice it on modern system, but older ones (especially this laptop) can use every help they can get. Also this laptop is 32-bit which caused quite a bit of problems finding emulators to begin with.
