I’ve had that happen on my 1974 Maytag DE306 HOH dryer before. I always make sure the bolt is tight, and use a wrench with good leverage to make sure it is tight. I use Zoom Spout for oiling the drum bearing and blower shaft, and I use grease for the tensioner/idler pulley shaft as well for the tensioner slider. I might even make a video on showing how to light the pilot light on my 1973 Maytag DG306 (I have 2 Maytag HOH dryers, one gas, one electric), and the older Maytag gas dryers did use a standing pilot to ignite the gas to the burner.
Those old machines look really cool.
