I’m a geologist, and GIS expert studied in IIRS. The big time concern in Uttarakhand is that the bedrock is limestone and more unstable. It’s the root cause there. Yes, it’s important that govt shouldn’t force when experts suggest and go against them.

@@blendertuts8306 walls-cracking-due-to-humidity is caused due to builders rushing to build home and not sprinkling enough water multiple times over the wall. Some workers are really lazy and careless with their jobs.

We are also living in the coalmine area in ramgarh, jharkhand (tata steel colony). Few days ago due to blasting a house not more 500m away from mine, many cracks and fell in the night. Thankfully noone was harmed. Many houses of that area were demolished in the morning and were given quaters for few months until they were given compensation for the land.

The bedrock is Limestone which largely susceptible to light traumatic movements of loads on its surface. The dams constructed are worsening the scene. There are many hot water springs are seen conforming bed rock of limestone. also the area is snowbound which adds to load problem in winter. Single sized roads only to be construced instead double lane as hills are more disturbed.
Around 200 people have been evacuated from the 'sinking' town of Joshimath in Uttarakhand as houses and roads develop massive cracks due to land subsidence🤞🤞🙏❤️❤️

I was never the biggest fan of geography in school, but this made me realise the importance of geologists in our world. Govt needs to step up
Was eagerly waiting for your this particular video . I am a native of Joshimath and seeing people and government continuously blaming each other is worst in such situation . Currently the priority should be resettlement of people and then to learn that how negligence of minimum disturbance in nature causes maximum distruction for sure .
It's sad that this is irreversible but it's also a great teaching for each individual out there that development must be sustainable otherwise will be of no use other than causing enormous distruction .
And for sure Government must be more strict towards granting permission to any huge infrastructure construction in order to save nearby towns as well as our Mother Earth .

Jharia is famous for coal but today its internal part of land, (coal) is burning which is not good for the hole city.
Many of the houses were sinked . Many of the people died due to this.
For this government have to take necessary steps to overcome this problem.

The same will happen in West Bengal too. But not in the hills but in Raniganj. Raniganj is known for its coal deposits and continuous mining of coal for Durgapur Steel plant and Asansol industries, the inner crust is now empty. So, if a strong enough earthquake hits WB, Raniganj will collapse
