It doesn’t matter if you slept on lupe, you’re listening to him now. Honestly in my opinion he is the greatest lyricist I’ve ever heard. There is a lot you can dive into, I already see some other suggestions so I’ll suggest some older stuff. His first two albums were incredible, and the coolest (you’ll get why that word choice is awesome if you check them out) part is that he had an entire sub story playing out across 6 songs about a fictional character he created getting involved in the streets. It’s the Michael Young History series of songs.
LuPac is the GOAT, brehs and brehette. There's no better lyricist that has walked the planet. While we're making recommendations try "Lupe the Killer", "Failure", and "Theme Music to a Driveby" You caught the Harvey Dent bar, but he is from Harvey, IL. A suburb south of Chicago. A suburb as hood as the South Side you always here about on the news.
F&L, The Cool, Tetsuo & Youth, Drogas Wave, and all of the mixtapes and EPs (Lost in the Atlantic, House), definitely in the top 5 for me. Lupe has Drill Music In Zion coming out soon and it'll have Mural III.
That wagon and magnum bar just flew above my head. The dodge magnum is also a wagon. The double entendres are just crazy and this is my 20th time hearing this
Drogas Wave is my favorite Lupe album, a double album, while there might be a song I skip (Kingdom. Good song but not my vibe) everything on here is amazing, has great range in themes and sounds, changing flows and cadences. Tetsuo and Youth is my second favorite album from him but there's a few songs on there I skip.
@@desmondstallworth2934 I'm a pisces so I'm drawn to the underwater themes I feel but tetsuo and youth had a few skips for me, I don't have to be in a special mood to listen to any of Waves songs but some of them did have to grow on me, Lupe's music blooms over time naturally as those cogs in the brain turn
I listened to this song over a hundred times since the album dropped, I always caught the Harvey dent bar and when he says “I hope this making sense/cents” but I’m just now catching the play on the word change a few lines after. “To make that change(actual pocket change to play back on the Harvey dent) for you team got have New Jersey drive and the stomach for taking whips”. Even when he says “drive” it’s a double meaning. This why I got him in my top 5
If you willing to listen to music and not worry about dancing to it Lupe is for you!! THINKING MUSIC!!!! We Welcome You Keep listening kids lol 😆 P.S. Listen To Ka too I recommend "Decedent's of Cain"
Here the Guy Lupe Fiasco said is better than him, please react to King los King los R.A.S King los 4 piece nuggets king los bar mitzvah King los Black lights King los La Leakers freestyle 95 (2019) King los Poundcake freestyle King los Lemon pepper wings freestyle

@@TheAnswerWillleaveyou yeah i get it you lpve him but lupe also said that that king los freestyles better him not rapping wise .. he said he writes way better than him too in a live with joe budden i think ...

You guys would really enjoy "go to sleep" by lupe. You won't regret it
A whiff is also a missed punch.
Can you guys please react to Lupe- Hurt me Soul
Listen forms follows function, dumb it dumb, the cool. Any Lu song tbh
Y'all need to do dead presidents by lupe and gotta eat
If the song is lyrically dense you are not supposed to get it all in one pass. To think you can get it all in one pass is ego
Yes, this level of lyricism is layered, you might need to listen dozens of times to catch all the entendres, metaphors and schemes
