True, but the 1997 ones were made at a time when Channel 5 had no idea which direction it was going in, with random scenes of elevators and hitch-hiking. What did that have to do with a TV channel? Five eventually believed it was all about celebrity and reality, but to be honest I don't think they've ever known what direction they're going in.
this was one of my favoiurte ones, i preferred "5" to "five", definatly
these were cool idents!
Simple but effective- I like it
this logo is still better than the new one
The other colours were better, like the orange as this looked similar to ITV at the tome but still an excellent logo that beats "five"
How a channel should look
The tum tum in the end of video was scary
Nice
Gimme this rebrand!!!
Looks simular to 1998 and 2002 ITV generic idents
More like Channel 4 from 1999 to 2004
This is a nice ident. A*

Most of the Channel 5 idents used before this one were better.
When they were relaunching Channel 5 in February 2011, they should have reused the 1997 logo as the current one looks so ugly
+Fusion Super (FS98) I like the current Channel 5 logo because it is my favourite colour (which is red). But at the same time, I like the 1997 logo.
@@AlexanderEdoh2013I don't like the current ones they introduced so I partially disagree with you on that front.

i'd like to know the exact date channel 5 used 16:9 widescreen on their adverts, idents, programmes and trailers.
