How does PJ Harvey just get better and better!!!! I have been a fan for over 10 years now and i would say PJ Harvey has been the soundtrack to most of my adult life... Her songs have helped me deal with sad moments, happy moments, loving moments and grateful moments. She is an absolute gem! I can't wait to see her live for the second time next year when her tour hits my country! PJ Harvey showed me how to FEEL!
Just shreds me each time I listen... The intro, the chorus... the 28,000. Thank God for PJ. As a ballad decrying loss, this is one of the most powerful I have ever heard. And while we watch them fade out, we blink away another bit of our own humanity.
This woman speaks! I do not like hitting the "like" button because what she is singing about is not "rockin' happy stuff". Not at all. But if the music gets your attention and then you hear what she has to say, you can't help but appreciate every note and beat and the message.
@@exodusveloBro so dumb he wrote this before the album even dropped😂😂 Also, you are wrong on both accounts, Demolition Project and I inside the year old dying have both received critical acclaim. PJ continues her streak of never releasing a bad album
great song..........stunning video.During the making of her new album, Miss Polly Jean traveled extensively in the war-torn regions of Kosovo and Afghanistan . Subsequently, the refrain "Hey Little Children Don't Disappear" -- with its haunting chorus "I Heard it was 28 thousand" -- hits with an acutely meaningful impact. Totally channeling Siouxie, and I love every minute of it.
Brilliant! Polly has a way of writing the most honest and moving music around....Her lyrics are not flamboyant, or aspire to false intellectualisation, they are compressed, raw, emotive and delivered with a gunshot. As for the music, you always think that the blend is perfection! Mick Harvey has been a great partner to work with. This album will exceed expectations even beyond "Shake" . And I agree..... she is so far ahead of anyone else because she is true to her work. Can't Wait till the Sixteenth!
Looks to me like a prayer for the human race. This woman always amazes us, she is such an exceptional artist and we love her so much, because she is so deeply human and she has the ability to perfectly express it through her art.

I was never a huge Harvey fan in the past, but her last two albums have got me. I went to see her last week and I now consider myself a fan. And this song is brilliant.
I liked a few of her songs back in the late 90s/early 00s, then I lost track of her or didn't pay attention to her stuff throughout the 2000s, got back into her stuff about 3 years ago when I hear the album Let England Shake, fantastic album. She is quite a talent!
The most particular, highly talented and stunning artist, a woman keeping herself to herself thus becoming even more intriguing - one extremely enchanting personality. So happy she is back with this. Can't wait for the tour.
Words, descriptions, images... everything we use for describing her art is too weak to tell. She has soul and power indeed. Only PJ can describe herself. And she's gonna do it again in April
Revisiting this song after a few years. Something it reminds me of: There is this survey that passes around on social media, asking men what women they admire- It's irritating, because they usually have to specify women NOT including their mother. PJ Harvey is one of my all time heroes. Serious badass, she is. First time I heard her music, I was really jealous- not of her, but of the dudes in her backing band. I would drop everything to play for someone with a vision as strong as hers.

+Hejira#2854 It's not that simple. Cinematography, the art and technology of motion-picture photography. It involves such techniques as the general composition of a scene; the lighting of the set or location; the choice of cameras, lenses, filters, and film stock; the camera angle and movements; and the integration of any special effects. What she complimented was the photography because this film is made by a photographer. Not all of the elements above, which describes cinematography.
i caught the end of this song on the radio and as soon as i got in the door i looked it up. great stuff from an artist i haven't heard of or thought about in 20 years
This song is so relevant right now…I have the tears in my eyes.

It hits harder now, yeah. When it came out it was nice to hear her rock out a little again, but I"ve been listening to it even more now.
