- This is a tour of a double suite in Mahoney Residential College at the University of Miami! These dorms are for freshmen canes and have their own semi-private bathroom. The layout for these dorms are very similar to the layout of dorms in Pearson Residential College.

What size rug would work in Mahoney Dorm? Do any kids have TVs and if so, where do they put them? THANK YOU!
A 5'x7' rug or smaller would be best. Some people have small TVs. The space is limited so I didn't have one.

In Mahoney/Pearson, you have to do it yourself.
heyy!! thanks for the video it helps a lot as I will be moving into pearson in the fall, and I wanted to ask if the dorms come with a mattress or did you buy a twin size mattress?
you're welcome! the dorms come with a twin xl mattress but I would recommend buying a twin xl mattress topper since the mattress itself isn't very comfortable.
My daughter will be in Pearson in the fall. What are the lounges like? Do you need a microwave in the room, or are there microwaves in the lounge?
There are microwaves in the communal kitchens. But it is definitely more convenient to have a microwave in the room especially if the communal kitchen isn’t on her floor!

does the full length mirror come with the dorm or did you have to buy/mount it yourself?
The full length mirror in this video was already installed when I got there. I believe every room had one.

heyyy, I am an international student from Turkey and I really want to go to U of M. i am thinking of applying as an early decision applicant so it's really important for me. i know being an intl student and needing a full ride scholarship lowers my chances for admission to any us colleges so i was wondering if i can contact maybe you or one of your friends who can help me to better understand my chances and the life there
what did you use to hang up the tapestry? would a thumb tack work? not sure exactly what the walls are like
I doubt a thumb tack would work because the walls are made of cement blocks. I’d try using command strips or mounting putty!
Is the mini fridge yours or is provided for by the school?
