Same. Growing up I always wondered what made the books they made us read in school so special. This show makes me understand that cause I wish everyone could consume this story as part of general education.
You two are in for a ride. This show will continue to blow your mind and leave you with questions even as you go into the later seasons. But also the Ads in the middle of the episodes are not necessarily to read but its highly encouraged because they add a lot to the story and understanding the world. So feel free to pause to read them especially as you get longer ad reads.
This show has everything, incredible plot, excellent storytelling, mindblowing plot twists and foreshadowing, well-developed characters, an amazing MC, top tier voice acting, good animation and one of the best soundtracks of all time!
Greatest tv show ever by every possible metric…Strap in guys and i hope someone is modding the comments because people tend to soft spoil it a lot for first time watchers!!
We have heard from a few others that some people do like to put spoilers in the comments. Think we would have to get a moderator because we love replying to you all ☺️
I don't know why I keep finding new AoT reactors every now and then, but I always subscribe 😂 If you don't mind me giving some suggestions: 1. Never google anything about AoT, you'll easily get spoiled. AoT is one of the shows you don't want to get spoiled at all. 2. Skip the opening song and ending song as they contain spoilers. You can later react to them in a separate video after each season, or better, after finishing the whole show. 3. Keep watching until you see TO BE CONTINUED on screen, and stop right after that. Some episodes have credit scene, so be sure to keep watching until you see the TBC words. And no need to see preview for next eps as you will watch this show back to back. It's better to jump into it totally blind. 4. It's better to have some notebook and a pen to write things down. AoT is one hell of a complex show with A LOT OF characters. It is also useful for a better understanding of the show. Don't hesitate to pause and/or rewind to discuss. 5. Have some discussion by the end of each episode. Don't hesitate to tell us your theories of what's happening and what's gonna happen. It's part of the fun in watching AoT reaction : theories cooking 😁 6. AoT has several OVAs aka side story episodes which aren't included in the main story as they have little to no significant point for the main story, but still related as either an insight or a background story of some character. I'll list them all down and the proper timeline to watch them. Ilse's Notebook > The only OVA that actually hold some value to the main story. Watch it after S1 or after S2E1, but definitely before S2E2. No Regrets > The OVA with the most reaction demand. You can watch it anytime between S1 and S3. S1 will give you basic info about this character, and S3 will give you more screentime of this character. So after S1 and before S3 is the best time to get more insight of this certain character through this OVA. Distress > This OVA has little demand, but it's still a good watch as it gives you more insight about the characters. You can watch it after S1. Lost Girls Part 1 and 2 > You can watch it after S3. Lost Girls Part 3 > Watch it after finishing the whole show. Sudden Visitor > The most absurd and totally unrelated to the main show, but it is funny as hell. Especially if you find yourself already attached to the characters. You can watch it anytime after you get to know the main characters group, but I'd suggest after S1 if you wanna watch it. Anyway, welcome to AoT world! I hope you enjoy this epic journey 🤝
This is the best (and release date) order for watching the series Attack on Titan: -Season 1 Post-credit scene at Ep25 (1-25) -OVA Ilse’s Notebook (3.25) -OVA The Sudden Visitor - The Torturous Curse of Youth (3.5) [Not so important] -OVA Distress (3.75) [Not so important] -OVA No Regrets - Episodes 1 and 2 (0.5a-0.5b) -Season 2 (26-37) -OVA Lost Girls - Episodes 1 and 2 (16.5a-16.5b) -Season 3 Part 1 Post-credit scene in the credits of Ep49 (38-49) -OVA Lost Girls - Episode 3 (???) -Season 3 Part 2 Post-credit scenes at Ep56, Ep58 and Ep59 (50-59) -Season 4 Part 1 Post-credit scenes at Ep63 and Ep70 (60-75) -Season 4 Part 2 Post-credit scene at Ep86 (76-87) -Final Chapter Special 1 (88) -Final Chapter Special 2 Post-credit scene (89) A basic rule for post-credit scenes is to watch all AOT episodes until you see the To Be Continued scene.
Non-spoiler clarifications: 1. Yes all your questions will eventually get answered. 2. It is preferable to pause on the intermission cards and read the text. Most of the time it’s just world building factoids. But sometimes they are very relevant to the current plot and are meant to be read before continuing. 3. Do not look up anything related to AoT. Do not read your comment section apart from the most liked ones. Just because this is the best way to prevent spoilers. And you don’t want this story spoiled. It’s not only considered a great anime but also one of the best pieces of fiction in all of modern storytelling. 4. While a vocal minority may suggest it in the future for specific episodes, do not switch to dub for any amount of episodes. If they do, they are insulting your intelligence and reading comprehension. 4. It doesn’t happen much in season 1 but there are post credit scenes. The episode is only over once you see “to be continued…” 5. Once you start getting new opening songs after the first one, you might want to skip them just cause they are kinda spoilery. But it’s not a big deal since everyone else watched them when it was currently airing. Also, Eren and Mikasa are not siblings. This is why Mikasa would say “your mom” “your dad” when speaking to Eren in the episode.
I would like to add that they should probably skip the intro theme for the second half of season three and the second half of season four. At least for the first 5 to 7 episodes. I know some people will disagree, but I feel like they give away far too much information in those opening credits.
aww yes! another reaction channel for AOT. subscribed. 😊 also, sometimes there are poopoo ppl in the comments purposely ruining with spoilers. look into having a moderator to skim through first.
Awesome reaction guys❤ Because u have no experience with anime u should consider the dubbed version.... it doesn't sound as good as the og but you'll be able to follow the info better ... they actually mentioned that they eat them a couple of times in the episode and u guys only realize in the end... but it's up to u .... I enjoy it either way
eren didnt dreamed about the titan attack.... the first scene which was shown of the titan looking at the people is just to immerse you into the world and throws you into the middle its just like breaking bad where it throws you in the middle of some scene (walter riding the van) in the first scene of the 1st episode
AOT (Attack on Titan) is not an animated film that should be viewed with a goofy laugh. Please be aware that it is a serious content (war between Titans and humans), which is quite different from cartoons for children.
Also haha you guys missing the line about the soldiers being "all that returned" and "everyone else must've been eaten". Also DON'T WATCH THE PREVIEWS.
This is the greatest anime of my generation, and possibly of all time. It has the best music you'll ever hear in an anime.
and just a pinch of genocide...🤥
