As a Mongol main I always struggle against English matchups. This video is quite useful - Although I'm shocked at how many villagers the English player threw away. I'm usually up against heavy turtlers when versing English.

If they turtle it's good to go very heavy on the traders, you will outboom them

What would have happend if u would just rally his base with man at arms?

It's a valid approach too, it would have worked in this game. I prefer knights because of the mobility to secure relics, put pressure in villagers and so on. If you go MAA and your opponent gets a good castle age timing they don't feel too useful to me.
