I have to say, as much as I liked Aether and was sad to hear of his departure.... Phantom is knocking it out of the park. He brings a much different energy than Aether but it fits.
@@Admiral_John i agree !! even though i initially felt very opposed to the idea of letting go of Aether, Phantom is just positively destined for this role. It's definitely really sad, especially as someone who adored Aether, but i already am really loving Phantom.
Ghost songs are tricks. He knows you aren't paying attention to the words. Or even able to comprehend them. Packaged into a dope ass band. No complaints.
They better for I am seeing them next month and I really want to hear this, especially the Ghoulettes at the end. Even thinking about the culmination at the end still gives me chills.
@@Cervezall_LA I was really hoping they'd squeeze this into their setlist this time out... now I just hope it's still in the list when I see them in August. :)
Nice vid and thanks for posting. I know this is may be unpopular, esp as I consider Impera to be one of the best rock records for a decade and I LOVE this song as much as all of them, but I just think its not as good a track done 'live' as Griftwood is, which was dropped to fit in Respite in 2023. The energy drops a lot in comparison IMO, which is understandable with Respite being ballad-ish - and Ghost already have the amazing He Is to cover that area. I just think Griftwood is a better setlist choice than Respite, though again I state I love both songs as I do all of Impera.
It serves the purpose of saying a (fake-out) goodbye to the audience through the lyrics and then to highlight and appreciate each ghoul during the outro, like If You Have Ghosts used to do. Dropping energy is also part of the point, so the encore can be more impactful. Not to diminish the other songs or your opinion but it's just some insight into why this song is part of the setlist now, and specifically at that part.
5:49 . No words needed
the solo and the backups of this song is something else IM ASCENDING , also extra little tiny solo by phantom in the end
such a beautiful song. Addicting. Impera album is addicting
Phantom just going off for a second doing his own solo.
yeah they all get their own solo / spotlight in respite now aside from rain :(
@@takeaiimpoor rain🥲

He is GRIFTWOOD dance macabr
Tell ChatGPT to explain the lyrics of this.
It's about Jack The Ripper. Spitalfields was the London neighborhood. Now listen-again to the most exquisite song every sung about carving up hookers.
poor rain didn’t do anything special😭
Sure screwed up the fadout with added guitar runs and anyone but Mad Gallica singing who mimics the studio composition
What
Live performance > studio
Mad sings outro alone and each band member is acknowledged ua-cam.com/video/-HTXux998BY/v-deo.html
