There are so many instances of small devs repeatedly capturing lightning in a bottle. Then idiot big tech comes and buys them out thinking their brand is the only thing that sells their games. Then they fire all the original devs and watch the franchise nosedive into a bottomless pit. It’s like they can’t figure out why. And I’ve always wondered why people like “rare” didn’t just start a new company with a title parodied their old company. Doesn’t that sound like something they would do? It wouldn’t take long for audiences to notice THESE guys were the real deal.
