Quick disclaimer there was nothing wrong with the recoil spring I used OEM parts on OEM frames and it ran flawlessly. The issue we learned is not all rails are the same width and thickness. So some frames and rails aftermarket and 80% are thicker and wider which causes the slide the slow down and malfunction.
What recoil spring weight do you think would be best for the X19.2 slide? Your feedback is valuable! Let me know in the comments! Thanks for watching! Show some love by liking, sharing, and subscribing.
@@AngrySargeG01 you won't go wrong with the 11Ib. I have a Glock 19 raidian ramjet that's also ported with 3 holes, and I have a 13Ib spring, and it hasn't malfunctioned yet. 11IB spring is extra insurance. So if the 13 is working like it does, then the 11 is even better, which is what I'll go with in my next build
I'd start with a 14# spring see if that helps. If not, use OEM striker assembly and OEM spring and a quality polished plunger, and start with OEM trigger if you can, just to rule out light primer strikes. But I think most of those you had to manually eject were just not fully in battery, rather than light primer strikes. Weak ejection on the 115gr stuff and even the mild 124gr kind of reinforces that theory. You're bleeding a lot of gas off with the 3 small ports and the comped end, that level of porting/comp is really going to work best taming hot 124gr, and it seems like MA left a lot of meat on that slide (looks awesome, BTW) so you'll likely always have issues with most 115gr, combo of gas and slide mass.
@@Croak1 I agree with everything you said and appreciate your insight a lot of people can really learn from your comment. This is what the community is about helping others. So on my end I changed up some parts during testing to try to rule out exactly what you are saying and I found so far I’ve had more success with OEM parts polished and changing out the ejector to the Gen 5 but I’m still having stovepipe issues with most lower loads. Which leads me to believe the 17lbs OEM spring is just a little heavy. But everything you said was spot on. I truly wanted to induce as many failures as I could so I can make sure we know what issues might arise with the average person out in the market. This way we can make sure the right parts are available on his website to compliment the slide. I like the slide and barrel and think we are definitely as a collective making it better in the end. Thank you for that valuable comment.
@@AngrySargeG01 as far as recoil springs I’ve never come across a situation where I needed to change it from factory. I’m more inclined to change ammo and the Speer you ran through it seemed to agree with your setup. Sweet tool

@@FrankLawtx1 hey I used a bunch of mix match stuff like OEM PSA dagger lower parts in their grip some after market parts in the slide and an OEM recoil spring. @ So I found out it wasn’t the recoil spring it’s runs flawless on Glock OEM frames on the after market and 80% market the rails are a little bigger so it slows the slide down which causes malfunctions.
@ you can run it on any frame it just needs time to break in. But the slide is speced to OEM frame. I am editing my range footage this week or the next so I assume maybe by Christmas I’ll have the range footage from the OEM frames. Also the nomad defense frame is OEM spec.

Can you move the rear side to the back of the slide? It looks like that piece comes out and maybe goes to where the site is now?
