Because of your videos showing the use of your fingers to apply makeup, I have gone back to doing the same. Many, many years ago when I started wearing makeup, makeup brushes were professional objects and not really available for my use. So, the fingers and hands were my applicators. As it was with my junior high & high school friends. Thank you for reminding me that just sometimes our fingers work better than brushes. Fingers work so much better for cream products, well at least for me.

I have so much 'space' between my lashline & eyebrow, that I've not ever been comfortable using anything but matte shadows~ other than a thin line along the upper mobile lid, or even a slight swipe under my lower lashes- for a bit of sparkle you know. Otherwise, I truly look somewhat clownish, regardless of the shade~ even softer, lighter shades. I've tried several shades & brands over the years, yet now that I'm nearly 60, I'm fairly certain it's time to stop experimenting w/shimmery shadows as a base color, or even as the darker, depth color along the crease. You're very brave, and for some reason it truly works on your eyes~ so bravo =) Absolutely LOVE this look here, for everyday, & find myself much bolder w/lip color these days, so there's a bright spot for this aging makeup lover! Greetings from New Jersey on a rainy and dreary Saturday morning. I so loved this video and wanted to say how much I wished Max Factor products were available here. I have the Dior mono shadow which I wear almost daily. I love the “ one and done” look. However, that Max Factor quad is right up my alley in terms of shades and textures. My go to quad for the past few years has been the Chanel Clair Obscur even though it is all matte. It appears to be discontinued or hard to find. I also love the Laura Mercier Paasionfruit blush which may be my next blush purchase. The Max Factor cream blush is nice as well. Why companies discontinue their best products is beyond me. Sorry for the length of this comment, but I also love the red lip and am still searching for my perfect one. Enjoy your week.

The whole look was a perfect day look and I must admit to being a huge fan of bright red lipstick. I veer towards orangey red as it better suits me. That one you used looks beautiful. Ive never had much luck with liquid lipstick as I have such thin lips that it always seems too much but then again, I didnt try your technique for application so I may give it another try!! For your hair, Drybar make a product in their blonde line that's not a mask as such, but it does the job perfectly. It's a powder that you moisten and apply, then leave for a couple of minutes and rinse off. My hair was leaning to brassy after a salon visit and it fixed it with one use. Brilliant stuff!

Have you ever tried Josh Wood Hair Gloss? The Icy Blonde does quite a good job at toning down anything brassy, not really cheap at £19 but will do your length probably twice, hope bump improving best wishes xx

Oh yes please get LRP on, they can explain why they pack all their sunscreens with alcohol! For us dry skinned gals it means we can't use their range. You look gorgeous as ever even with a bump on your head x

But maybe you should try a pearl/ice blonde toner through your hair, or go back to hairdressers for a toner,. But I would never have noticed your hair being “off” at all, even when you pointed it out x

Ouch,hope it fades soon!! I've recently bought the La Roche Posay Anthelios Age Correct SPF 50 and I can say in all honesty it's wonderful!! Make up goes on like a dream over it!! My other go to for no makeup days is Skinceuticals Mineral Radiance Tinted SPF 50 which has a beautiful dry down to a soft semi matte finish!! X

I so wish La Roche Posay anthelios SPF products didn’t include alcohol denat so high up in the ingredients list, even in this new one too. Feels lovely and light on first application but over the course of the day, my skin feels so so tight and dry as if my face is too small! Just can’t wear them on an everyday basis. Would love to hear whether they can formulate a thin lightweight liquidy SPF but without the alcohol. (Their age correct one is the only formula with no alcohol but I find it too thick and heavy on the skin.) Not sure whether anyone else experiences this or whether it’s just my menopausal skin?!

Oh yes please get LRP on, they can explain why they pack all their sunscreens with alcohol! For us dry skinned gals it means we can't use their range. You look gorgeous as ever even with a bump on your head x
I swear by the olaplex range and the purple/blue shampoo is great. It really lifts the yellow out of your blonde xx

@@SpeedBeautybyCarolineBarnes I use the ordinary 6 for the first wash and then the blue 6 for the second wash. But maybe you should try a pearl/ice blonde toner through your hair, or go back to hairdressers for a toner,. But I would never have noticed your hair being “off” at all, even when you pointed it out x

I've recently bought the La Roche Posay Anthelios Age Correct SPF 50 and I can say in all honesty it's wonderful!! Make up goes on like a dream over it!!
My other go to for no makeup days is Skinceuticals Mineral Radiance Tinted SPF 50 which has a beautiful dry down to a soft semi matte finish!! X

I so wish La Roche Posay anthelios SPF products didn’t include alcohol denat so high up in the ingredients list, even in this new one too. Feels lovely and light on first application but over the course of the day, my skin feels so so tight and dry as if my face is too small! Just can’t wear them on an everyday basis. Would love to hear whether they can formulate a thin lightweight liquidy SPF but without the alcohol. (Their age correct one is the only formula with no alcohol but I find it too thick and heavy on the skin.) Not sure whether anyone else experiences this or whether it’s just my menopausal skin?!

Hi Caroline, ouch! Your bump looks very sore 😬 You could try Shrine toner drops. Nadine Baggott recently discussed them with Sali Hughes (who uses the toner). Shrine Insta has lots of examples.

Yes, any purple shampoo will take away yellow colour. You can find it in Boots or most pharmacies.
