As a kid in the late '60s and early '70s I remember many a Saturday night going to the fights at this track and sometimes the race would break out. LOL
Yeah Mint Hill has grown a lot over the years. I'm ready to move out a little further myself. I raced at Concord on dirt in 1986. They paved it in the middle of the season. I was 18 years old and just got use to racing on dirt and then they paved it. I raced 5 more races in 87. Those were fun days back then. Thanks for the comment and have a great day!
Wow. Dude willfully destroyed his own car... for no apparent reason that I could see. What an ultra maroon. This looks like a nice clean good looking place to race. Such a shame to see empty pits and stands like that. Seems the same all over. Good job filming.
I’d rather race on a long fast track like that than the ultra small 3/8 miles were u can barley pass. That track does look really clean track looks smooth walls freshly painted. Needs faster more powerful cars to run that
This track has been around for a very long time very well taken care of facility till the day it closed cuse it was a nascar home track and they require you to keep the track looking new and nice. This was a awesome track racing sprint cars big 410 winged ones and super latemodels on I drove both here when I was 11 then 14 in sprint car I'm 34 now lol but it was a fun track high speeds in corners and it was a blast to drive cuse you could set someone up for a pass coming out of turn two and off into the turn 3 tri oval pocono type corner back there lots of races was won and lost on last lap in that Pocono turn on back stretch
I have been to this track a couple of times. It's a shame the track does not draw more race cars than it does. The way it is designed, with a long sweeping backstretch, would allow a lot of good racing if they just had the cars there to do it
They raced there every weekend for years until about 5 years ago. They only have a few big races a year now. I raced on that track in the eighty's when it was .4 mile dirt track and a year on asphalt. Sometime in the early nineties they put the dog leg in and made it a half mile track. I raced a few races in 99. That dog leg is difficult to get through for a rookie like me.... LOL Its a fast track and I wish they still had weekly racing too. Its great family entertainment!
"When the sun goes down the temperatures rise at Concord Speedway!" Wow. Um, okay. So, unless there's something I can't see on this video, or the blue/yellow car had a big neodymium magnet in his rear quarter panel that sucked the white car into his, smashing it up in the process, repeatedly, the only logical reason I can see for Cosworth there to go running after the blue/yellow after wrecking him the second time would be to throw himself face-first into it, effectively beating himself up for being such a dumbass. But...that's just me...
I COULD SAY SO MANY THINGS....but, I only say one....Leave your temper in the car hauler, if you bring it out on the track it gets ugly and expensive...This division is expensive enough without Chaos!
It's in North Carolina, or at least it was. Recently the track was purchased by Copart to store insurance vehicles prior to auction. I think I heard that they were going to bulldoze the track but I'm not entirely sure of that. In any case this place is done. It's a shame, this track would put a lump in your throat flying through the dogleg. if you know anybody with access to iracing, the track is perfectly recreated there so you can least get an idea of what it was like.
The biggest baby's are at these little tracks across the country! They make us laugh that's about all they do! Oh yeah next time you record something, keep that waterhead boy outta the way!
@@lcpeterbilt379 the officiating? Im sure it has nothing to do with the fact that the cars cost what they do and the pay out is the same as it was in 1960
Where were the blue lights?!?!?!?!?! Where were the BADGES!? Where were THE POLICE YOU SAID CAME!? ALL I SAW AT THE END WAS A DRIVER WALKING TOWARD 2 OFFICIALS!!!
I don't get it. What's the coming at the 15 for? The 15 should be the one pissed. Or am I missing something?
I could write a book about all those Saturday nights and some times Sundays

@ONTHEEDGEFRED o came here to say this. Thank you very much Mr.!!! Lol
Why did you buffer the video? We couldnt tell what happene!
We lived in Mental Hill for 25 years. Its really growing with all the new development. I use to go to the old dirt Concord race track.

I thought the same thing. Looks like it is either newer or very well taken care of or both. Our track hasn't had any real upgraded the 70s

Would you believe this track no longer exists??
@@ONTHEEDGEFRED well that sucks. Here in California we have three historic tracks that will be shuttered: Calistoga, Petaluma and Santa Maria.

Dirt track racing is so much more exciting to watch and be involved in. good racing on pavemant...just boring
I'm gonna wreck myself, than get pissed at you!
All of this over a 5 car Street Strock race......ok

LOL......so true! Thank you for watching and commenting. Hope you'll come back to our channel again. Have a great day!
See what happens when you race on asphalt 😮🤬🤣
Looks like a fun place to watch the races
Would have helped if the camera had a zoom feature.....
Sorry Jon, I was filming with a cell phone.
Wth was the kid doing in an interesting video?
Jon Smith and a no kid feature
Got to love Saturday night's
Nothin' funner than a car sitting still when someone is running up...and then the car slowly pulls away.

Robert Sparkes I totally agree, this is definitely too expensive looking to still be called Street Stocks lol
What state this Concord Speedway

I was in the stands that night right in front of the brawl, and it was funny!
happened! Second wreck the white car did that on purpose then he got mad, why?
These are the type of tracks that the monster series needs to go back too..help get the fans back..
Hell no.
THEM DUKES, THEM DUKES GCHGUGGUGG!!! THE DUKES DID IT...
I thought it was go fast turn left not turn right. # 15 should of been the one pissed off!!!!
That was funny the old man was running down track
WOW! Those Tempers Really Flared Didn't They? NO? I didn't think so either! WHAT TEMPERS!!!
2:00 good job bud. You totaled your own car just to spin someone out that didn't even hit the wall...
That's some good looking cars
just another night at Forrest Gump Speedway...
There's only 6 cars running. Should tell ya something.
we call 6 cars in a race a "heat"
"Taze him!" :-)))))
The biggest baby's are at these little tracks across the country! They make us laugh that's about all they do! Oh yeah next time you record something, keep that waterhead boy outta the way!
Great track like Concord and the stands are empty, Motorsport seems to be dying everywhere...
From that I say it's the officiating causing drivers to leave.. cause and effect .. no cars showing up no fans to watch
@@lcpeterbilt379 the officiating? Im sure it has nothing to do with the fact that the cars cost what they do and the pay out is the same as it was in 1960
I'm not wondering why racing sanctioned is dieing
no cars..no fans......i would imagine this track is closed now
Can't see anything that the Blue/Yellow car did wrong except lead the race.
You don't retaliate after being wrecked moron
I think Racing is starting to be staged for DRAMA like wrestling these days! They are trying hard to bring fans back!
the kid was great
Haha gotta love the amature racers. Hahaha
These guys should try NZ street stocks then they'd have something to cry about lol
Ok
Police, it,s stockcar racing for Christ sake!!!!!!!
if you can play nice dont play at all !
where was the fight ??? o the white smash him himself into the other car
It was a typical cat fight.
When it came time for the "tempers flare" part, could'nt see it.
Absolutely terrible Camera work
Damn,Go fight in a bar,Save alot of money,Might even be more people there to watch
LMAO Taze him!!
Lack of track peoples responsibility.....they should of black flagged somebody....couldnt see what really happened.....jr was in the spot light....lol
look at ALL the overweight young people at these races,,,
juvenile
Dunbass....shoulda stayed on the meds!
Clowns 😅🤣😅
Cops should not be involved in activities like this.
Burn The Obedient, that's at the discretion of the sanctioning body or, lacking that, the track owner.
yeah really run them cops outta there.
