Many people are sick of modern warfare 2 and have been comparing it to modern warfare 2019 recently, I've even asked myself which game is better? So today, futives has decided to go back and play modern warfare 2019 search and destroy in 2023. I think the pandemic is what really made me enjoy this game so much because I don't feel that same spark with MW22 and the weapons didn't need to be kitted out the way they are now.

Man do I miss this game, all the hours clocked in lockdown. I used to have 20 of my friends everyday and all we used to do is play snd against each other for like 3 months straight. I would legit play from like 4pm to like 6am everyday damn day. Shit got me tearin up. damn

@@StarGazer05916 yeah only specific spots can be wall banged on maps and all guns have a specific wallbang distance they can kill at. Monolithic EBR is 55 so if you get to a wallbang spot a second too late and theyre at 53 or 57 you could be fucked

MW2019 definitely had its flaws but the gunplay and movement I always really enjoyed. But on top of that, one of the reasons I think this game was such a major success was because it launched as COVID was starting. People, myself included, literally had nothing but free time, so we just grinded out cod creating unforgettable memories.
Hearing the sound of the uzi and the quick fix specialist bonus brought back so much nostalgia

@@specc-i nostalgia is typically for stuff that happened when you were a lot younger (i'd say minimum like 6 or 7 years, imagine a 12th grader saying they're nostalgic for 8th grade) or for categories of things that are entirely gone now. you can have nostalgia for black ops 2, but you can't have nostalgia for mw2019 (especially when a similar engine is used for mw2)
in terms of "vibes" for games, i go off of "would it be reasonable for this game to get a remaster?" original mw2, yeah that makes sense. if mw2019 got a remaster, what's the point?

This game was so good man.....the movement, the sound the weapons made, the clean menus, it was perfect.....all they had to do was improve on what was already there, but instead they said, "Hmmm, let's just fuck everything up". smh

Mw19 was the peak of cod movement, but my lord people love to forget the awful map design, asinine ttk, and cheaters. This game was definitely a cod game of all time.

I feel like MW19 wasn't exactly in the same class as the OG games but it was the start of its own era of fun games that I would consider the "movement era". It's too bad MW22 took a different route in what feels the most clunky of all the games in the last few years.

It's always a fun ride hearing cheaters talk and realising how devoid of reality they are.
MW2 literally took everything I liked about MW2019 (the movement, stims, etc) and made it worse, and it took everything I didn't like (footstep audio, SBMM, etc) and kept it. MW2019 was already a campy CoD game, and somehow they made it even worse.
Literally everyone I’m facing is a corner camper and stacked meanwhile every game I play my random quad is separated and and if I try corner camping than 3 people come inside playing follow the leader lmfaoo

Yeah, MW2 lacks content and it may be divisive but i can't believe how people say camping is worse than 2019. (As if camping didn't exist before cod4)
We got the drill charge to blow up campers through walls, bomb drone can dispatch even the most sheltered spot with safety, the ascenders in warzone no longer locks you into the animations so you aren't completely helpless to a camper and can now hipfire/jump, the heartbeat sensor has a limited battery and its range got nerfed to a reasonable distance (it was a literal unlimited uav at your hand what the hell) so players "patrolling" dont get always get the upper hand from several meters away, most maps have a lot more alternative entrances compared to 2019, the pistols can now peek certain windows with a degree of safety on what normally would be a guaranteed death on camping spots that forces you to climb, etc.
Credit where credit is due.
MWII has its problems but camping got more counters and counterplay.
_And dont get me started on "the movement is slow and we can't do anything about camping". Brother, og cods had people in staircases with akimbo g18/shotguns camping to never end, its the genre fault, not MWII._

MW19 wasn't perfect, but it was good for SnD. It's so sad to see Activision and the devs neglect this game so hard. From the Warzone updates during year 2-3 of MW19 constantly breaking things (and in a couple instances made the game unplayable for a while), to not updating the anti cheat and not banning cheaters. This game at the VERY LEAST deserves to be playable with no cheaters on it.
This game and the CODs that came after it were ruined simply because of the Battle Royale phase, every fps game from battlefield to cod tried to hop on the bandwagon and in return neglected their multiplayer mode/player base….
If cod went back to the traditional way like MW3, BO2 and others then I think they’d be able to revive their dead franchise lmao

I don't care what anybody says about this game. I loved my time with MW2019 in it's initial run and I still have fun to this day. It wasn't perfect, but hot damn was it a blast to play throughout the game's lifetime.
I feel like mw2019 is a little more interesting because of the outplayabliity some people can pull off

Exactly. I feel like if they didn't want slide cancelling in the game that's fine (even though most outplayability came from this) but don't completely slow down movement in every way to the point where you're at a disadvantage the more you move around and the game just feels super slow because of it.
I kid you not, I had UA-cam running in the background between classes, and I ended up falling asleep. I heard futives and I woke up which saved me from being late to class. I then watched the video in class love you futives !

This was pure nostalgia, love it.
MW2019 has been one of the best COD we've had in a while despite all the bugs and glitches. Very smooth movement, good base weapons, the lighting and the environment and most maps had good designs. It's my most played COD aside from Black Ops 3. The days dropping into Verdansk and grinding out limited time events were great. You never know what you had until its gone, this game looks unplayable now and its sad cause i wanted to redownload the game.. Unfortunate
I still play it, buy packs (about 300 or more of my own money sank in already) and It just dawned on me recently people use unlock all tools and won’t get banned, as well as recently learning it’s not safe to play cause people can boot you off or various other things…
But that don’t keep me from quitting damnit

Still I had my fun with it I was disappointed my items from MW2019 didn’t transfer over the Warzone 2.0.
I was one of the Dumbfucks to get the $100+ Edition and hunting for the promo items on MW2 2022 and I… didn’t play at all really just half of season 1 I didn’t even finish it. I was over it and thought to myself “why should I grind camos when I’m going to do them all over again and the next title will be out”.
Welp I’m just glad we moved on
I really think that the kill sound and headshot sound in MW2019 is so soft and satisfying, MW II's headahot sound just hurts my ears everytime.

Honestly hackers are the only thing wrong with 2019. If you don’t get a hacker the gameplay, graphics and maps are better than MW2 easily. And they could install anti cheat if they wanted but that would drive people away from the new game they know is terrible
Maps are better? LOL Piccadilly, Azhir cave, Euthrates bridge. WORST MAPS EVER! The Groundwar maps are also too small for 64 players.

2019mw is what got me back into cod. So many amazing memories that followed too. I didn’t think I would hold such a game so close to my heart. Since the release of mw2 obviously the game hasn’t been taken care of so ofc there’s an uprise in cheaters but I feel that comes with any older game. Mw2019 had so many incredible abilities that mw2 just can’t compete with.
Even though MW19 had its fair share of issues, I feel like Infinity Ward put more care and charm into the game during development than they did with MW2. MW19 felt inspired and had a lot of love poured into it compared to MW2. I just wish they didn’t completely abandon it after Warzone 1984, because it really could’ve been so much more.

Sucks that this game doesn't have a server browser like the older games do. Community servers don't let hackers run rampant unlike official servers. Chasing profits for shareholders always results with less quality products. It's inexcusable how short-lived support for each COD title is despite the amount of revenue the games produce.
MW19 gameplay was at its peak when you combined the slower way to play with the smooth movement. Knowing when to shoulder corners or bunny hop around them, not blindly rushing, using deady in smart ways. People act like the only way to play was either camping or acting like you were on meth, but the maps could flow so well if you just came fast around corners, checked your flank, and had decent map awareness

I haven't bought any cod after bo cw and when I first played cold war I was thinkinng that CoD was doing its death. Every CoD after MW 2019 ruined warzone and its just sad to see this good "old" game that I made the most memories with to be in this kind of sitsuation :( Might just keep it as a good memory rather than testing it out again after about 7 months since I uninstalled it.

MW2019 was just better because of the gameplay and the campaign, especially the campaign lol, The amount of times and hours spent on MW2019 is honestly an understatement, don't get me wrong, MW2 (2022) Is great, but not on the level of the OG original via 2009

I didn't play this game when it first came out but something MW19 has going for it is a distinct character and direction, like most CODs have (whether you love it or hate it). Though I relatively like MW2, it really lacks its own personality.

I love how they were complimenting the movement, a mechanic that takes time and hours of practice to achieve, for them to just take it away in MW2 so there isn’t a skill gap.

That last lobby was actually kind of depressing lol idk why but it just had a really down vibe to it. Like people come home and boot up their systems so they can intentionally play in lobbies like that.
MW19 and Wz1 was seriously the best CoD in the last 10 years. It was smooth af, fun af, had great gamemodes. Everything was peak. Cant believe how they screwed it up so bad. Skins was also so cool
