I am disabled now and do what I can . I use to work , work , work, take care of our 6 kids and some of my nieces , nephews , God sons, step kids,, the animals, feed them all and get them to bed .
To give you something to think about or consider anyway. If you plan to sell hatching eggs you will want as many of those eggs to be fertile as possible so it might be worthwhile to bring in another rooster or two and set up a couple breeding pens..Something to research. I run 5 hens maximum with a rooster and get good results so that works for me but I also have added cost for infrastructure and additional time spent maintaining the pens. I am able to observe the chickens better though and I like that since I cull fairly heavily..
Sounds like you got a really nice setup! Yeah, since you mentioned that the other day, I've been looking to see how many of the eggs are fertile when I'm cracking them to eat. 🤣 I'm considering adding a rooster, or possibly a few less hens. I'm going to mull it over for a bit. 🐓 Thanks for commenting! 🐓
