I blame Kirk for this. It wasn't until he came around in the what, mid 90's that peeps started talking through the WHOLE song! Now everybody and their mom wanna do it. Actually I blame more so the label he was signed to at the beginning (gospocentric records exec who said he was fine the way he was). Now look... It's like someone said here... Now the director can barely sing AND talks throughout the whole song.... I hate that and will never get used to it. 😡

Yyyyyyeah. I have a love/hate relationship, lol. I so agree. But then again, I do like Kirk's style. I also like James Fortune's style because it ministers to me so much. But again, I reeeeally wish Choirs would go back to the way they were. They don't always gotta be talkin and stuff! Even Hezekiah be talkin most of the time now :/ And choirs should sound like *choirs* not praise teams! I recommend peeps like Dexter Walker and Zion Movement though.

I was on the corner selling drugs playing this CD in fact we didn't have CDs in our cars and we had cassette tapes I played it like crazy and the fellows were saying man that ain't gangster look what you out here doing and you listening to that music I'm a true John keep saying and I'm a true fan of Jesus Christ who kept me from not going to no jail kept me not going to hell I'm saved today filled with the holy Ghost and I thank God for that music that pulled me out I played it like crazy all the time all the time they thought I was crazy how you could be out selling drugs and you listening to that music that ain't gangster thank you Lord

I knew John when I was little girl traveling with my Grandmother group The Gospel Lites of Charlotte. Well that was a very long time ago but EVERYONE has been through some things IN THEIR LIVES. John did as well and when HE TOOK IT 2 THE LORD IN PRAYER, DO YOUSEE WHAT GOD CAN DO? HE CHANGED HIS LIFE AND NOW LOOK AT HIM.
