It wasn't that long ago that I did my review of the 2023 IONIQ 6 after having to delay it due to it being in the shop during my first scheduled review. I was impressed at that time, and I am still impressed, however each year that several items do not get fixed makes them stick out even more. The sound below 25mph is required by law! It's a synthetic sound for pedestrians.
For Limited owners you can boost the Tron sound similar to the Taycans. Not on the SELs. Wish I had it on mine.

So .... that noise you hear is on purpose. It is so people/pedestrian's can hear you coming when you are going slow. In some places this is required by law.
Got mine (brand new) $35500 OTD. SEL RWD. Also as I am listening.... I get around 300 miles range for 100% charge when warm. When cold < 20F about 240 miles.
That humming Voice is safety feature for The pedestrians. It's not electric motors noice...
Ty for the review, I find it much easier to buy, and drive a new model Y, for about the same price, and much easier to drive then the ioniq6. The FSD ins second to none and makes driving my Tesla so much easier ands stress free. soon the wheel nag is going away with the new ota software update. Drive anywhere, no only on few mapped highways like my lightning sadly. I can't find anything like it anywhere.
I have the Sonata Blue, a Hyundai Tens of thousands of dollars less and it has wireless CarPlay. I actually do Not Like It because of the latency.
Exactly, wireless play is lame.

I just read comments by IONIQ 6 owners today.One guy bought one for his wife and at 15,000 miles she wanted to go back to a gasoline car.The value,as he was told,went from $33,000 dollars to $15,000.Basically he said he is unable to sell it because no one wants it.He is having to keep it,pay it off,and pay on a replacement vehicle.
Never buy EV's, lease only.
