I had a life goal of climbing all 7 summits. Until I got pregnant and found out I had a blood disorder that keeps me from processing oxygen properly. I had no idea why I felt like I was “drowning” while others were fine whenever Is climb higher and higher altitudes…made me feel super embarrassed. Quickly realized my life goal was always unachievable and I would’ve probably died trying; definitely gave me a new perspective on life
There is plenty more to life than just climbing the 7 summits :)
Hope you find fullfilment in what you go for!
@@RobinKumar-kh7ok Oh I definitely did. Found out I'm an excellent mother despite having abusive parents. I'll gladly sit at home and watch my little ones grow instead of climbing 7 summits
How many human beings would’ve died without having a Sherpa with them?! They are some of the strongest human beings on earth!
Yes. We get it. Is your question rhetorical? You do realize people have climbed Everest without the use of a Sherpa, right?
Untrue. They're just great climbers due to their location and genetics. They're born at higher altitudes, so their bodies are more receptive to it.
On every mountaineering video there is some version of this comment about the Sherpa people.
Oh @Jeremy Tong ,one of my all time favorite Everest stories!! So glad you picked it up David!! May all who sees this have a wonderful & blessed day🤗🙏🏻💜!
Kudos to Jeremy and his sherpa. Prayers and condolences to families who lost a climber.
800 hundred people attempting to summit! I never realized the sheer number of climbers that go to Everest every suitable season to push to the top! Thank you for the upload. Very interesting! Congratulations to Jeremy and his valuable Sherpa!
Dude: *said he was gonna call from Camp 4 before climbing*
Dude: *didn't*
Dude heroically describes the climb, says "I had to get back, for my family"
Dude: *doesn't bother calling when he's BACK to camp 4. OR camp 3. OR camp 2.*
Are you KIDDING me.
I feel these kind of people are the reason for overcrowding and Accidents. Writing book on how his Sherpa carried his weight and got him back alive? Every body thinks they are Hillary or Tenzing.
we lost a good hearted canadian woman that year. they just left her there begging for help but sadly people are too wrapped up in their own summit than to help if they casn. i also understand that up that high right at the summits door there was probably nothing anyone could do. she was brought down and returned here to canada so thanks to those who helped with that.
You are not referring to Shriya Shaw? Because that was in 2012. Also a truly sad story..
@@hensolo3262 no i believe she was east indian i am trying to find the name.
Maybe see was in bad shape not able too save Very Sad Ok. Don't climb if cant save yourself .
Whoever edited this doc made some…..interesting choices 🧐
He forgot to call his wife from camp four.
All those people on the mountain is reckless and irresponsible! The Nepalese government has to step up, let the extra money go and make better decisions regarding how many permits are issued! It's really bad!
Easy to say about these highly motivated, skilled individuals, especially when your butt is on the ground and also very hypocritical. More people die each year from speeding drivers the climbing everest.
Sherpa’s are on another level. Great download 👍
Excellent job, Jeremy. I'll never forget the sayimg I learned watching these great Everwst video's that summiting is optional, getting down is mandatory. Looks like because of weather, then because of long line you had to stay way up close to the summit way too long. Glad you were able to get out of that mess and still able to summit. I Wish you and your family a very happy and healthy life.
He knew the most important thing was to come back home alive and not the summit.
Very well put together video. Thanks for sharing your story
Been waiting for a new video love them ❤
Wow! Storia emozionante e documentario straordinario! Fantastica avventura 👏
Another harrowing story, thx Mr Snow ❄️ 👍 makes me happy to be alive
As I climb deeper into this mountaineering rabbit hole it’s strange to think that every time I celebrate my may 23rd b-day people are fighting to summit #1. 🤯
Great show 👏
Thanks dude. 🥃
Why do they put this tense music lol? We know he makes it cause he lives to tell the tale.
@DavidSnow , Your channel RULES / Is sooo great!
Thank Yoouu

Yessss!!
I wonder what is the percentage of people who have summited Everest and wrote a book about it.
he has a very very very understanding wife
Does anyone know what brand the sunglasses are?
Majula Singapura! Congrats to Jeremy, bravo.
I want to climb everest but i m afraid of heights. I hate climbing up, climbing stairs etc. i like to lay on my bed. I cant live without internet.
Majulah Singapura. Well done Jeremy Thong.
Don Cash is a true legend! R.I.P.
Good job Jeremy Tong!
To much greed=to many climbers=death
TUFF KID l) U ROCK BRO, LOVE THIS MAN , TONG TONG TONG
7.37 jeremy seems to be a VERY VERY intelligent guy..... he prefered to LIVE instead to die... ....
👍 👍
2:25 The most important equipment for climbing, Coca-Cola!
@@AdventureSam I’ve seen numerous videos of people, Sherpas especially, enjoying a bottle of coke on several summits. Ama and Nanga are the two I remember. Makes sense to have a celebratory drink at the top.
Something definitely happens in the climbers body on the decent that’s not happening on the accent, or at least is being kept at bay. By far, the vast majority of deaths occur on the decent. I think it may be something to do with the thicker blood circulating in the climbers body clotting or becoming so thick the heart cannot pump it round the body. Yes, it does only happen in a handful of climbers, so it’s something to do with an undiagnosed pre existing condition impacted by the thicker blood!
DIOS con Vosotros!
Weird editing choices..
Who puts up the ropes?
The sherpas. There is many videos on how they put everything together it’s amazing and so many of them have lost their lives while doing it.
Ditch the music and just tell your story...
so much ego and selfishness in one peak
If there are SOOOOO MANY climbers, it loses his unique purpose.... it simply becomes a MASS EVENT........
How did he know his teammate had a heart attack if he abandoned him there? That's the problem with Everest people are quick to reach the summit so quick that they don't think twice about leaving their teammates behind.
Hard to understand the appeal to stand in queues to do something that 100's of other people are doing anyway. Nothing special about it any more - pay some sherpas to drag you and your stuff to the top.
Fine if it's nothing for you. Making the journey to an adventure to do the hardest thing you have ever done, step by step till you standing on top of the world on the worlds highest mountain! Thanks for sharing that it's nothing special for you!
21:08..."I had done all I could do to prepare".
Seriously? Dude was a pay to climber. 98% of these dudes would drop dead if a sherpa wasn't moving their feet for them and carrying their junk.
Easiest way to tell they are phonies is they choppered out in and out. Real climbers ATLEAST make the lonnnnng hike into base camp.
Silly Sods!
WITHOUT SHERPAS- NO ONE WOULD HAVE SUBMITTED EVEREST
Everyone goes on about needing a Sherpa to survive the mountain 🏔, it’s no different from any town or village in Ayrshire. Go drinking without a local Sherpa and chances are you won’t come back alive!
Why do they put this tense music lol? We know he makes it cause he lives to tell the tale.
Jeremy seems like a nice guy, happy to see him achieve his dream and return safely.
