Still cant believe he wasn't better on the next level, he had soo much potential. Just didnt get picked up by right coach or team.. Oh what might have been!
Akrum Wadley: steps in after injuries to Daniels and Canzeri and runs for 200 yards and 4 TDs against one of the toughest defenses we played that year Kirk Ferentz: Well, he held on to the ball.
Iowa won't go all the way for sure (no doubt in my mine) they will lose to msu probably in a blow out and if somehow msu lost to Iowa lol (not in a million years) they will get ass handed to them by the play off teams that cubcake schedule ending in 2 weeks buddy
Lord Atari Well, if we compare common opponents, we see that Iowa is more dominant than MSU. Most obvious, Iowa beat Nebraska, something MSU couldn't. Here are the combined scores of Iowa and MSU's PF PA against common opponents: IOWA: 134-82 MSU: 121-92 And what counts as a "cubcake" schedule? If you are intending on dogging Iowa on their "easy" schedule, I'd like you to take the time to check the other teams in the top 5's schedule. You might find one, if you are lucky, that doesn't have an "easy" schedule.
RabidEar123 easy, we can compare Nebraska msu should've one bad play call msu did have more points on the board right ? 38 and Iowa had 28 there offense was more dominant Iowa played no one . msu played osu Oregon uofm 3 teams Iowa couldn't beat look at top 5 team ? Sure ok 1.Clemson Notre dame flordia state 2 harder teams than Iowa whole schedule 2 Alabama auburn , LSU again two harder teams than Iowa played 3.Oklahoma Baylor tcu and Oklahoma state 3 teams Iowa would never beat and way harder schedule 4 Iowa your right there is one team who played no one good in the top 5 5 MSU osu uofm Oregon 3 harder teams ? Point proven ...
Lord Atari Yes, it was a fluke call, but if we are gonna cry over spilled milk, then Iowa beat Indiana 42-20. MSU lost to Nebraska, and that's what everyone will remember. Now, if I remember things correctly, MSU allowed 39 points, where Iowa allowed 20. Their defense was more stout. And on what facts are you getting that Iowa would lose to those teams? Have they played? No. Are there ways to tell? Yes and no. Not directly, but NW beat Stanford 16-6, Stanford lost a close one to Oregon 38-36, Iowa beat NW 40-10. In a game where NW was dominant against Stanford, they had NO control against Iowa. Now we can conclude that Iowa would be on the same level as Michigan since both teams won consecutive games against NW, UofM: 38-0, Iowa: 40-10. Now let me respond to your numbered responses. 1. IOWA>NW>STAN>ND. FSU is a hard case, but they have a comparable victory (Northwestern who is 10-2) 2. Seriously? Auburn? 6-6 Auburn? Iowa beat Pitt (8-4), NW (10-2), Wisconsin (9-3), Indiana (6-6), and (yes I am mentioning a great FCS School, the runner up of last year's FCS Championship Game) Illinois State (9-2). Now LSU has seriously imploded. Seriously, Arkansas killed them. 3. Baylor and TCU never had any business in the top 10. They couldn't quite beat their best challenges, and they were inflated by their WAY easier schedules. Okla State could barely beat ISU, a team that Iowa beat 34-17. 4. Learn to read (and spell and how to have your sentences make sense). That isn't what I said. 5. I already popped UofM (which MSU won by sheer dumb luck) and Oregon, but Ohio State is hard. There was dominance by both teams in games with the same teams. There were games where Iowa controlled the game against a team where OSU struggled, and OSU controlled the game against a team where Iowa struggled. Next problem.
Wadley had a awesome day! Should have been a pro!🏈🏈🏈👍👍
Looking back.. this was Wadleys breakout game.
Still cant believe he wasn't better on the next level, he had soo much potential.

Oh what might have been!
The fact wadley went undrafted makes me legitimately upset. He was such a good player, and such a pig part of this incredible season.

I miss this team
You know it's a magical thing when The Hawkeye Historian has to keep up with the current season
