One of my male friends make this same argument. We all could go to the grocery store and pick out items more expensive than the meal out cost.
My lunch meal which was a county rib, sweet peas, side of pickles, coffee, and a soft drink cost me around around $3. I splurged on my day off and got a subway sandwich with a coupon for $7. The sandwich made 2 meals. So, I can dine out for a similar price with a coupon.
But someone who eats out for every meal, pays more than someone who cooks. My male friend was eating at chili's for lunch for soup and salad $6.99. He claimed to be drinking water...not true!!!!! He was paying $3 for tea. Plus tipping $5. So that's $15.

It doesn't take a long time to put chicken🍗 in the air fryer, scoop a rice bowl 🍚 from the fridge and microwave with some veggies 🥦
If cleaning up is the problem. Use disposable dishes.
I'd argue a protein shake is even more cost effective and healthy than take out and cooking.

That's about $1,000 per month on food for one person. If you are rich, you can afford to eat like that, but most people need to grocery shop. Eating grocery store food costs under $10 per day, not $27 or whatever was in the video. You do need to know what to get though. Personally, I use frozen raw chicken breast, rice, cauliflower, eggs, and beans as staples. I also eat 30+ grams of protein per meal for 5 meals per day.

I agree to some degree! I ate very cheap when I was in college and did a strategy very similar to what you're referring to. Problem is, that's a very basic diet and most people don't have the discipline to eat like that every day

But you can also eat out way cheaper. When I was broke I survived on Wendy's dollar menu spicy chicken sandwiches... Spending more on food is as much a lifestyle creep as fashion, cars and all the other junk we blow our money on.

@@GarageGeek It's possible to spend less on fast food than grocery store food but only by comparing apples to oranges. Anything you get at a fast food place, even on their value menu can be bought cheaper in a grocery store. From a business standpoint, there's a cost to employeeing someone to cook the food for you. That cost is necessarily passed along to the consumer or the establishment cannot be profitable.

Your math is way off I spend $25 a day eating out and cooking my self I’m at $70 a week with snacks and drinks 😂 you don’t buy food to prepare 1 meal and throw the left overs out

It’s healthier to cook your own meals tho… Restaurants, especially fast food, use same low quality oil over and over again for example. Ps ice tea should be made by brewing tea and adding ice to it, not buying one from grocery store 😄 And don’t even get me started on those disgusting moldy ice machines

He made roblox content for fun. If you repeat the same process for like 5 years, it won't be fun and you'd lose interest. That's why he stopped and made this channel to upload stuff he likes.
