I live in the UK over 50 years.When I see this you realize how rich the Netherlands is.The beautiful house structure.Many water areas which we just don't see in the UK.The Dutch are lucky.
Johan Scheffer, Kampen is a beautyiful and a cosy town along the river IJssel. The surroundings are very variable, with the Veluwe, the Weerribben and the City of Zwolle in the neighbourhood. Nice to live.
A new beautiful tour through another part of the Netherlands. I am really enjoying your tours through the Netherlands, as I already was enjoying your tours through beautiful Switzerland. The part you are going through now is very unknown to most of the tourists, but really Dutch. Very close to the largest Dutch woods, the Veluwe, and that is again a very popular tourist area, especially for tourists from the Randstad area (between Utrecht, Amsterdam, the coast and Rotterdam). And look at the famous Dutch skies, that painters through the ages loved to paint.
I love the Netherlands. Lovely people, food, and interesting places. We're off to Dordrecht again in September so will be exploring more of Nord Brabant and Zeeland and perhaps places round Rotterdam again, courtesy of NS the railway operator! We love exploring.
How interesting to be introduced to a new place in the Netherlands. One of our favourite countries indeed. Kampen reminded me of parts of Groningen in some ways. Anyway just wanted to drop by and say thank you.

There are traffic jams enough, depends when and where you travel. Taking a by-road can help, but beware of close roads during rushhours.
