Hedge Funds has proven to be the most lucrative Business Model, As a Limited partner, My dad and I was able to generate about 7 million dollars from one income source , with about 10 millions dollars Capital, My fund manager was very diversified and was able to double our initial capital before the end of our first year, Then all other incomes was split 50/50. working with the manager was very smooth, he is the best. Great video!

How do they make buy/sell decisions and how do they execute their massive orders?
That dude on board is the fund manager and I belive hedge fund or hedging of funds is process where the fund manager uses the money of high networks private investor and invest or adjust the investment in cyclical or non cyclical group of investment plans in a certain proportion which nit only helps the investment to grow but also recover the losses suffered if any from one portion of the investment activity.

This is mostly a definition of a mutual fund. You spent about 30 secs on the part that defines what makes it a hedge fund, I.e. shorting the market to make sure that your gains or losses are minimized.
Shorting the market has basically nothing to do with the fact it's a hedge fund. You and I can short the market. Does that makes us a hedge fund? I'm curious though, if you already know what a hedge fund is, why did you watch this video?
The performance fee is inaccurate they charge that fee by outperforming an index like the S&P 500 and its usually 20% they won't charge the fee until they pass the benchmark index lets say the S&P 500 went up 10% they have to outperform that then they will charge 20% on the excess. Lets say they had a performance of 20%, 20-10=10 based on that 10% excess they will charge you that 20% so all in all your money grew 18% and the Hedge fund took 2% plus the 2% management fee.
