Suppose one couple conceive after one physical relation. Then they have to bring the child bcz in scripture abortion is considered as henious crime that means there is no sex till child birth that means upto 1 year, how it is possible( IN scripture it is said sex is only for procreation not for recreation) prabhujee one who is unable to control his desire so enter into gruhastha life how can control for one year. 2nd question if couple has 2 children where husband age is 40 and wife is 35 or 36 if they don't want children means they have to stop sex life till death. Is it possible????
Hare Krishna, There is nothing wrong in asking this question. All these rules are applied in practice according to one's age, spiritual maturity, partner's consent etc. I know it doesn't sound easy. Basic idea is regualting one's senses for spiritual advancement. Spiritual advancement is a gradual process so reach out to the right people who can guide you in a personal way that's perfect for your life.
As far as controlling during the pregnancy period is considered, without self control our lives will become a mess. understanding that we are not this body and the ability to control the senses come naturally when one engages seriously in bhakti. Even on a moral level, marriage is an institution of trust and tolerance. With intelligence, one con control the mind and senses. and bhakti can make ones intelligence strong, sober and spiritualized.
