My life had been a complete mess when God revealed to me he was real on thar Easter weekend. With that came immediate and drastic change. I hadn't been able to cry after the death of my Mother. I bawled like a baby. He immediately gave me that heart of flesh he promises in his word. I lost all desire to drink and do drugs. I was still smoking though until the Holy Spirit gently told me when I smoked I made him cry. I gave away my smokes, no withdrawal. I wanted to be pure instantly. God gave me his favor immediately. A friend just turned and looked at me and told me he would pay for me to go to Bible College for a year I wanted. I couldn't swear. It also brought immediate grief as well. On that Easter weekend, I miscarried my first pregnancy. I know my baby is with Jesus but it was hard. And I had to choose God's path. I was living with and very much in love to a very kind man, named Robert. He looked at me and told me he wasn't ready to give God his life yet but he would never stand between me and God. I had to leave him. We couldn't see each other or even talk on the phone because we loved each other so much, I would have sinned. I had him over for coffee a couple years later and we loved each other just as much. He still didn't want to commit to God. But he made me drive him home right away because he wouldn't have me break my commitment to God. I will always be grateful for him. I hope one day he will let God in. So there is. God is faithful from the start and we must choose him from the start.
