Aishwarya won Miss India title and susmita was the first runner up, Aishwarya Rai ended up winning the Miss World 94 and sushmita Miss universe 94.

i cant help but notice Miss Colombia's (Carolina Gomez) genuine and sincee happy reaction for Miss India whenever she is called as a finalist or in the spotlight. There is a scene in the pageant where Colombia and India hugged each inside the sound-proof booth congratulating each other as part of Top3. Kudos to Carolina for being very sport and supportive to Sushmita. Both deserves to be a winner. But it is nice to know that based on her body language, we know she thinks Sushmita is very deserving to the crown.

This is probably the best and the most memorable top 2, since I started watching the MU pageant in 1991. Miss Colombia and Miss India were awesome that I could not care who was going to win. Either of them would have been a great Miss Universe. Congratulations to Sushmita for being one of the best Universe winners since 1991.

Why do people paid so much attention to Aishwarya Rai. Sushmita is much prettier. And her personality is much better. You can feel the sincerity when she talks, and from what I've heard, she is one of the kindest human being in the world. So, she truly deserve this.
Aishwarya by default was more beautiful than Sushmita. This was the truth even back in India. But accordingly, Aishwarya was never classified as beautiful in the traditional Indian sense. In fact Sushmita herself hesitated to join the Miss India pageant until her mom scolded her to compete. Many people expected Aishwarya to win because of her beauty. Even now Sushmita still compliments Aishwarya on being a beautiful woman... but of course Sushmita won the crown because of her performance at Miss Universe. Both are gorgeous women.

She almost didn't made it to Miss India pagent, every Miss India contender in 93 were afraid and some cancelled their entry forms because they heard "The beautiful Aishwarya Rai is also contesting"( that time she's already a national heartthrob ) every girl were intimidated 😂😂 sushmita thought she might as well cancelled her form but at the last minute she didn't.. Aishwarya won Miss India title and susmita was the first runner up, Aishwarya Rai ended up winning the Miss World 94 and sushmita Miss universe 94.

There is a scene in the pageant where Colombia and India hugged each inside the sound-proof booth congratulating each other as part of Top3. Kudos to Carolina for being very sport and supportive to Sushmita. Both deserves to be a winner. Aishwarya by default was more beautiful than Sushmita. This was the truth even back in India. But accordingly, Aishwarya was never classified as beautiful in the traditional Indian sense. In fact Sushmita herself hesitated to join the Miss India pageant until her mom scolded her to compete. Many people expected Aishwarya to win because of her beauty. Even now Sushmita still compliments Aishwarya on being a beautiful woman... but of course Sushmita won the crown because of her performance at Miss Universe. Both are gorgeous women.
