Thanks. Sorry, I'm new at DIY videos and didn't think to write the measurements. Plus I'm halfway winging it. I don't know if this helps but the dresser without the mirror piece is about 7.5" wide, almost 7" tall (6" tall frame plus bottom and top additions), 1.5" deep on the sides and 2.5" deep in the center.
I really live the future that you use tacky glue, and not hot glue. Don't get me wrong, hot glue has its purposes, but can be bulky and messy when making miniatures. Very nice job! 😊
Thank you, and I agree. I don't like using hot glue because of those exact reasons but for some materials, when the tacky glue isn't working out, I have to break out the glue gun.
Those are amazing!! I thought you were just going to make an inspired piece because I thought there was no way those were made out of cardboard. Good job!
Excellent how to vid. I judge them on how visual they are. You showed us how to do it without a word! Just subscribed so I don't miss any more like this on furniture.
You're so amazing! I've wanted to make a mini doll house but was unsure I could without spend tons $$$! Thank you for sharing your art and being inspirational to us all!!!❤
Thanks so much. I get most of my supplies from a dollar store, so you can definitely make houses on the cheap. Have fun building your mini dollhouse! 🙂
Man! I just love the furniture you're making! I want to try some in 1/3, 1/4 scale. And maybe roccoco (sp) style. I've made a chair for one of my dolls... Hobby Lobby has wood pieces that make interesting legs... Combine wooden shapes n' beads. Of course with the materials you're using, you can make any shape. Oh yeah, one more thing... Air dry clay, or hit glue and molds... Check out Inspirations of the Soul for ideas. Just because a person with your skills and imagination - your creative mind will explode with new ideas. I hope you have girl children around. Heck, boys to. They'd have a blast learning to create from you. Much love hon!
Thank you. I live abroad where no Hobby Lobbys are, but last time I visited home they had built one nearby. I was weirdly exacted to finally be able to go to a Hobby Lobby store and look at their miniatures and decor. I got some silicone molds from amazon and used one of them on a rocking chair I made that's briefly shown in the the video. If I make fancy bookcase or wardrobe I might use the molds again.
Wow so cool! Especially the dresser with drawers, it looks late victorian or edwardian, now u only need Angel Face barbie doll to match with this furnitures.
Thank you. I really like the shape and detail on that type of furniture. I don't have Angel Face, but maybe my Helen Keller Barbie might make a decent match.
@@e.d.t. well u should get this barbie cuz she's gorgeous! I had it as a kid and I re bought her recently and I didn't remember she was so beautiful! ❤ She has amazing hair and her face it's so sweet, plus I love her edwardian outfit! Btw I love antique furnitures from victorian and edwardian eras, I love the details too and my dream is to get a sofa from that era, just a pity I cannot efford antique stuff. 😅
@@kimonoclubitalia6308 I wish I could afford antique furniture too, but at least our dolls can have nice things. Angel Face Barbie is a lovely doll. I really like her blouse.
@@e.d.t. yeah, what we cannot have in rl our dolls have it, that's somehow cool. 😆 I like antique chinese folding screens for example, but they are expencive (ofc), so I made one for my barbies. 😜
@@kimonoclubitalia6308 That's awesome that you made a folding screen, how fancy. They have beautiful designs. I like some of the antique French screens, but now I will have to check out more of the Chinese ones.
Lovely added to my dollhouse playlist for when I make my daughter her barbie house love how this turned out and would love to use in one of the bedrooms
Thanks so much. Sorry, I didn't make a template and I think I got rid of the initial paper templates I did to make the curved cardboard pieces, but I can give you measurements of the finished crafts if you need them.
Thank you. I made the rocking chair before I started filming crafts for youtube, so I don't have a video for it. That might be something I can do for a future video.
For the crafts in this video I mainly used cardboard from a tri-fold display board I got from the dollar store. I paired it with boxboard I got from a nearby art supply store. I also save and use cardboard from packages I get in the mail, and sometimes I'll use thinner cardboard from Lego boxes.
I'm in Canada at the moment and get chipboard from a local art store called Deserres. I believe it's a Peterboro brand mounting board and it comes in this big 28"x44" sheet. I don't have this store at home in the US, but possibly your local art supply store might carry something similar with their matboards, except this board will be easier to cut than a matboard.
It's just incredible!!! Thank you very much for the video. I would love to see how you make a sofa. Can you please provide dimensions. I really want it to be like yours
Thank you. I will put a Barbie sized sofa on my to-do list. I'll have to dig the furniture out again and remeasure for dimensions. Then I'll let you know and add it to the description as well.
We have several of the same dolls. I love Barbie extra and looks models. I like the poseable dolls. Love the dolls with afros. I grew up in the 60-70s... And grew up with curly hair.🤬😫😑😆🤷🏼. And the "Looks" Kens are kinda hot! Lol!
Extra and Looks are my favorite Barbie lines right now. My hair is natural at the moment. I thought about making the Looks doll with the afro my mini-me. She just needs a hoodie and her hair in a bun.
@@e.d.t. She's one of my favorites. I like the curvy dolls best. I've got several now and think they'll be fun to sew for. Hair is a pain in the butt..lol. If it's long enough to pull back, it's pulled back or pinned up. Feel like a pony otherwise. Take care!
A real craftswomen, NO hot glue!
