I am so grateful for the algorithm to bring you to me! I ADORE the way you brough in and explained media literacy! This is the kind of approach I like!!! Thank you!!! Subscribed!
I have some strong opinions on reality. For the love of the universe, if you mention quantum mechanics... I will kinda get mad. There are so many grifters that mention "vibrations" and "wave functions"... Drives Me nutso.
Honestly, I think many beginners and ignorant experienced witches don't realize new-age rhetoric when it is discussed because of its popularity in the witchcraft space. Unfortunately, a lot of new-age practices mask as the craft and create overlaps within our communities. It’s definitely worth noting the distinction between the two groups of thought. As for me, I work and believe in energy, but quantum mechanics isn’t my cup of tea. I acknowledge that everyone has the right to their beliefs, but new-age rhetoric can be dangerous, and spiritual psychosis is very common in that space. Most beginner videos would jump right into spell work, but I believe it is essential to have a firm grip on reality by utilizing intellect and critical thinking skills, which is why I framed my video this way. I wish this topic was talked about more in our space because it drives me crazy too.🤣🥲
That reminds me: I once attended a group ritual, and the leader of the event claimed she opened an interdimensional portal that would suck out negative vibrations. I left and never went back. I'm all for spiritual cleansing, but whaaaat!? 😅
@@TheFarmhouseWitch This is a well written response. You are quite the scholar. Being a hardware engineer myself, quantum mechanics is adjacent to my field. I work in energy actually, I help write control programs that slosh electricity around electromagnets. That is to say I also believe.. (correction I _know_ ) that there is spiritual energy too. I grew up with a strong Catholic mom and dad. I met a very Catholic old nun in my midteens that had bona fide healing hands or touch. It was a pleasant electrical feeling. That was real, my only paranormal experience.
@@TheFarmhouseWitch I once did a guided meditation with some people about spirit guides. I didn't fit in very well, they all got lions and wolves and peacocks or whatever. My animal spirit guide is a tiny grey sparrow. Spirit guide doesn't need to be huge and flashy to get the job done, but I am a pretty big guy and a tiny bird for a spirit guide seems kinda comical.
@kayakMike1000 I appreciate the compliment. I try to approach most things through an academic lens (I am a forever learner). Although my educational background is in English, I am crossing over to the technology space myself. I am currently in a program for cybersecurity (major imposter syndrome and out of my comfort zone), but I have a new appreciation for program writers and the technology industry in general. I also had an upbringing in Christianity, which sparked my curiosity about the spiritual realm.
