That comment sums up how good an attitude they have to the importance of just staying focussed on the music and putting everything into making an awesome live show 👌🤘🔥
One cabbie in kyiv asked me where I was from cuz he knew my accent sucked. I told him, USA. He was blitzing through traffic like a madman but turned back to me grabbed me by the knee and said in that accent, "HEAVY METAL!!!" - much agreement ensued
I am so impressed by their English, I work as a translator and I know how hard it is to learn a new language. They are very articulate and express themselves very well. You have to be very intelligent to compose music.
I didn't realize Tatiana had such an accent until I heard her speak in some interview. I don't think it shows up in her music. (I may not have realized where they were from at the time either)
djaric it is very strange how people’s accent change when they sing, but return when they start talking again. Adele for example has a very strong British accent, but it completely disappears when she sings. How about the rock group “Scorpions”, they are from Germany. I have seen people who have a really bad stuttering problem when they talk, but it disappears when they sing.
@@cquinn185 singing itself requires change in the muscles of the vocal chords, I believe that because of ever changing muscle movement whilst singing It will cause accents to be unrecognisable, whilst general speaking is generally mono toned and requires less muscle movement.
@@cquinn185 North americans sing in a british accent for the most part. Its just a part of music. It would sound awful if music was sang in a scottish accent for example. It's something that is worth taking time to look into. I saw some videos about this about 3-5 years ago and it was very enlightening. Your mind is playing a trick on you if you think they sing in american accents. =)
They absolutely deliver live, studio and interviews. Best accents on earth. I could listen to Eugene say "heavy metal" on repeat. Just got a ring tone idea.
I didn't know what to make of Jinjer when I first heard them. But after hearing the notoriety they were gaining, I decided to delve in to them again, and for some reason THAT time, I was hooked. They are bridging gaps in metal, and constructing various genres in to one gigantic behemoth of a band. Their sound is monstrous, their grooves are undeniable. And goddamn, they're a fucking fantastic band
Yea their sound is very powerful. MACRO sounds extremly Big and special really their own sound like the guitars(bas inkluded) on noah its redicoulos heavy
Yeah same here. But I did think they were an Opeth rip off the 1st time I heard Pisces, my intro to Jinjer. But you know what, they're not & they're great. I hate when bands stick to 1 genre but love it when they branch out. Now that could be by each song or album. Cause I hate when albums are similar to one another too. Branched out, it shows they have raw talent or they actually want to explore. I respect them more.
I feel like Mikael is an inspiration to soo many people in so many ways. Gotta say tho, in pisces, the basslines could've been in an Opeth song and I wouldn't have heard a difference :p
wow, the only video with jinjer in it on YT without a bunch of comments about how hot Tatiana is. well done guys! loved the interview. probably the best jinjer interview so far.
This is one of the better interviews I've seen with Jinjer. I like that the guy genuinely seemed interested and it wasn't just words on a screen questions, they were actually having a conversation. Thanks!
Not only can Eugene play the bass like no other he is such a smart well spoken individual. Even though English is obviously not his first language he speaks it very well. You can tell that Eugene and Tatiana are very smart and well educated people.
Almost all ukrainians are bilingual. For 70% of ukrainians ukrainian is the first language and russian is second. But they are from the east, then russian is the first their language, ukrainian is second and english is third.
Damn, what a great interview. They seem so relaxed and open. Many Jinjer interviews they are cool, but seem like they are just answering questions. They seemed really engaged here.
Makes sense to me. Soviet Union Era Metal with huge audiences meant an uncontrollable populace disobedient in the face of Soviet authority. Mob rules! \m/
What a nonsense about heavy metal destroying the USSR! :)) The socialist system just went bankrupt, it lost in the Cold war and the USSR fell apart thanks to independence movements. The last blow was by UKRAINIAN referendum for independence on Dec1 1991, and on the day (Dec8) the results were supposed to be officially finalized the CIS was founded as a replacement of the USSR . I am pretty sure that the Soviet leaders had no clue about heavy metal. :)

I have spent a lot of time in Ukraine and have identified a lot of good rock and metal music. Setting Jinjer aside I found another band called Ignea that are worth a mention. There is a musician who owns his studio in Kharkiv called Nikita Rubchenko has totally floored me, he can play many instruments but his guitar work is exceptional. There is no need to rank him except he is up there with some of best I have seen around the world on my travels!!
Intellectual, creative, talented and inspiring. This band is genuinely up there as one of the best. Even if you don’t like the music on a personal level, you have to appreciate the artistic power involved within these people.
Incredibly talented band. Amazing band members, not just musically wise. They really deserves more attention. Nice interview, I love everything with and about Jinjer. I'm so glad that I got to know this band a few months ago! Such a refresh in the metal scene.
I only heard a few songs from jinjer but recently I went to their show in Vancouver and let me tell you they absolutely bring the noise! Great band. And this is a great interview Banger
It's rare find a good interview like this. Clean questions, speaking about process of creation, music referenses. A guy asking question who really knows what he is speaking about.

Great interview! I was wondering when this would come out. So glad I got to meet the band on the same day at the meet and greet in Toronto. And, of course, seeing and hearing them perform live was awesome.
A little bit more than a couple of years ago i was discovering Jinjer, (via that live "Outlander" video) and i was saying to myself "these guys should really get more visibility", glad to see them in the last years touring and reaching more audience, seen them twice in Romania myself too.
one of the best bands ever (not just metal). great musicians and Queen Tatiana who can sing any genre with a crazy vocal range. I love them. thanks for the interview!
Not "salad metal," but "Jinjer metal": they are in a class by themselves. Salad is a light dietary course which has nothing in common with a very heavy , spicy and saturated main course with a few sides included- Jinjer. :)
Love Jinjer and am eagerly anticipating their upcoming Australian tour in which I invested way too much money 😂😂😂 4 gigs, 4 states and 2 V.I.P. meet and greets. Jinjer is the first band since Megadeth back in the mid to late eighties that I've really connected with and been totally blown away by. Couldn't think of a better person to interview them than good old Metal Thrashing Mad Dekay. Great interview sir and hope you had a great night at the gig. Thrash til Death brother 🤘🏻😁
Such an interesting and fluid interview. Never felt dull or dragged out and I think much is thanks to the guy who interviewed them, seems to know his trade well! Of course it helps that Jinjer are so nice and humble!
Tushino i was there, i was 16 years old i was born in Tushino next to airfield, that was epic i was stoned out of my mind but the memories are still as vivid as yesterday, i have not been to Moscow in almost 27 years, still love ARIA.

Great interviewer, he let them speak without interrupting or trying to talk over them and knew his shit about metal bands around europe.
Right? This is hands down one of the best Jinjer interviews I've watched.
Thanks so much guys.
Yeah i wish more interviewers were like this. Thanks for this.
abd the fact that they tried to make them feek comfortable with two sofas, coffee and tea its great.
