Fun Fact: Fifa 19 on switch was the exact same as fifa 18 but they didn't lable it yet as a legacy edition.
That'd be due to it being the first fifa on switch, and therefore not having a previous fifa on that console for it to be unchanged from. Meanwhile, the exact same version of fifa 18 on xbox 360 and ps3 was marketed as legacy edition. I remember reading somewhere that when they introduced the legacy edition label in fifa 14, it was for on platforms where the game's staying the same as last year.

@@GuillinCorp I was saying 18 was the first fifa on switch, and therefore there was no fifa 17 on switch for it to be unchanged from. I did misread the original comment thinking it said fifa 18 wasn't labelled as legacy.
FIFA 19 had radical interface changes including the new UEFA Champions League, refreshed licenses and player pools. No change in the graphics whatsoever, other than the daylight and nightlight sensitivity.
@@ManiaDorkTV did any menus other than the standings and fixtures in CM change on switch? That's all I remember being different from 18 on switch alongside the broadcast packages being a thing on there now. Also, the UCL I wouldn't say was a changed gameplay feature, just getting proper licensing to call a competition that was already in the game what its called irl.
In certain menus of that show the player ages, it shows the ages of them 5 years ago. So Messi is shown to be around 29 for example. Couldn't even be bothered to change the ages outside of career mode since FIFA 17. Embarrassing
when i bought 19 on the switch back in 2018 (paid full price 😐) i played it all the way until i sold my switch in summer 2020, and around New year 2020 on my 5 season running swansea city save all of my youth players were generating at 60 years old.Absolutely Broken

I was born in ‘95, grew up with Nintendo, and loved FIFA the most. Eventually I had to stop buying Nintendo consoles to play FIFA. When they announced FIFA 18 would be on the Switch I bought it right away. It was class but each year got more and more complacent. It was literally the same game with just updated rosters and jerseys. Eventually bought the PS5 and stopped playing the Switch. Really heartbreaking to see how little effort is put into these games.

Fifa 23 legacy edition will feature the same gameplay features and modes from fifa 17 on xbox 360 and ps3 without any new development or significant enhancements.
Had it for FIFA 18+19. It's genuinely atrocious. No graphic changes, no patches, no improvements, it's basically just a normal update but as far as I'm aware without any patches and for €50 or so

I tried legacy edition and honestly it’s kind of sad that it’s separated but atleast they have the old ui, it’s really annoying trying to play kick off on my ps4 with my dad
For one, I only play FIFA for career mode and two the only reason I'd consider buying FIFA for the Switch is just the ability to play it on the go. Maybe if I were more into FUT (I refuse to support EA when it comes to that mode) I'd actually shell out the money for a Series X for FIFA, but otherwise, I'd still consider buying this version on the Switch since I haven't bought any of the previous versions. That's just me though.
Usually im not a picky gamer, i dont complain about the graphics or price as long as i enjoy the game but it wasnt the scam that made me pissed about legacy edition scam, the fact they didnt add the WORLD CUP TO THE GAME (The only reason i bought fifa 23) is outrageous.
The switch has a user base of over 100 million, if EA wants fifa to sell on switch they need to give that market a reason to be excited about the new fifa games. I’ve been playing fifa 18 on switch since 2017 because there’s been no reason to get the newer versions. I’ll bet if EA thought switch owners could be convinced to put money into ultimate team then they’d probably put in some effort. EA are idiots they’re leaving money on the table. The switch is a platform crying out for a new football game. One that is more fun to play and not weighed down by EA’s baggage. Unfortunately EA has the licenses which give it legitimacy in the minds of the public. But the game engine needs some work. I’d love to get a modded version of fifa running on modded switch consoles to provide what EA won’t.
For fifa 18, it didn't had the champions league. But then in fifa 19 they did add the champions league. Yet they didn't add the libertadores when it came out. Nor volta. It shows they could add it. They just don't want to

People don’t realise how much storage it actually takes to apply a simple idle interface to a game. I’m honestly happy without Volta, but they should rlly add more competitions

When i was younger i was playing on switch and i bought fifa 18 and when fifa 19 came out i bought it and then when fifa 20 came out i bought it but then i didn’t buy fifa 21. The sad thing is that they didnt update the gamplay so for an example. When you take freekicks or penalties its the old metod
I actually really enjoyed Fifa 22 Nintendo Switch much more than pc and ps4. It feels really balanced in game. It also feels quite nostalgic, with many old features that i really missed from Fifa 14-18. And it is also a game you dont have to buy every year on Switch
As a person who only has a Switch, it’s so dissapointing watching the same game getting puked back up by EA, I still play fifa 20 because what’s the point of paying for a shiny new game that is actually just the same thing as the one for 5 YEARS AGO
My parents got me a switch a few years ago because I wanted to play fifa and didn’t have a console (This was fifa 17 or 18 and I was abt 14). I am yet to notice any changes whatsoever on career mode, ultimate team, kick off, anything.
I got 300+ hours on FIFA on the Switch. I personality have fun on it. I use it when im chillin in bed or away from home. I love this sport, so i play any football game😂
Not sure if anyone said this. Sadly part of the price increase is because of the medium. (Although that part you would think would get slightly cheaper the longer it’s available)
I played fifa on Nintendo switch when it just started I have every one on Nintendo I sometimes see UA-camrs like Bford that get mad cuz they don’t get major cutscenes but then u have players like me who just love the game like how it is we don’t need anything flashy we only need people that know we exist
The thing is i love fifa i used to play the old modes on the xbox 360 it was fun even better and the graphics too! But if you’re a player like me then you should stop buying fifa on switch and get a ps4/ ps5 heck even a ps3 or xbox too.
EA have done this before, on the Wii since FIFA 12 to 15, the game was the exact same, that the game cover literally said *UPDATED KITS AND ROSTERS ONLY on Wii

FC 24 on Nintendo Switch will have Frostbite Engine and it will have modern gameplay like the PS4 and also Xbox One Graphics.
The first fifa I got on switch was fifa 18 and the only thing that changed between 18-22 was the kits and player ratings. I now have a ps5 and yes the game is more expensive but it’s criminal how ea can get away with this

They've been doing Legacy Edition for much longer than people are talking about. They did it for the PSP & PS Vita OVER 10 YEARS AGO.
You can get it for £30 in the UK. It actually plays a good game of FIFA but it so every year. It’s the old school seasons FUT, it’s ridiculous hard to earn coins.
Switch has a user base that's going to be bigger than PS4 soon (most likely overtakes PS4 in a month or two) and EA does nothing. They don't want money? That's mad. EA doesn't want money!?
Yeah yeah, Switch is a underpowered machine because of its hybrid design but EA could still make it work if they put in some effort. This is a disgrace.
Luckily I play the Xbox One version which does have some changes from the last game, I actually feel sorry for Nintendo gamers of Fifa. 👍🏻

The real issue is the price in my opinion. FIFA 19 now goes for about 10-20 bucks, so selling something which is essentially just a reskin of that 10 buck game for 40 dollars is stupid.

i got fifa 22 on switch just for the collection and it was so backwards , the career mode did have fut draft but no squad battles etc , the pack animation is just the player with fut ultimate team written behind , the career mode was back from the fifa 15 days where most o0f the matches were forced sim no matter how good u played . fitness cards are still a thing in the switch version , the shooting wasn't the greatest , and free kicks are pretty bad , if your just buying it to mess about on the go while your on the train or something then its ok , otherwise just stick to console editions

I had a switch and realised its terrible to have if you have your own house just play your pc or xbox 🤣 if you want portability just play game pass on your phone it's miles better or steamdeck

Only played FIFA 18 & 22 on Switch. I heavily prefer FIFA 18 thanks to the World Cup Mode. I will be getting FIFA 23, but only nearer the time World Cup Mode comes out for it.

You do realize that instead of buying a new Nintendo switch for 300 you can buy a used Xbox one for 200 or just buy a new Xbox series x for 300 and just buy the new fifa 23 for 60 dollars

With all the packs I get should I open them as soon as I get them on the 22nd on the web app or should I wait till the 30th to open the packs when the otw promo is released. I have the ultimate edition btw.
Nah save ur points however open the packs sell anything that isn’t fully meta then complete ur sbcs u could even open ur points when players like halland r gold instead of otw increasing my ur pack luck however points it doesn’t rly matter when u open them 👍

They on contract man thatd why the devs cant really unless they release graphics dlc instead of a title dlc, also its a sports game, so adventure titles always have different levels, sports is the same map though. Obtaining better players could be easier at least and check squad battles offline cuz som ppl not have net connection, they could still go against ai with best players they have, just no player upgrade offline, this prevent hackers so offline team need match what was last played online

its switch gamers' problem. i love nintendo consoles and i have 4 of them but i only play solo games on switch them bc its pretty much the best thing on switch get a ps4 or an xb1 if you want to play some fifa its cheaper and you get a better multiplayer experience ive got an xb1 x360 ps4 pc wii u wii 2ds and switch and i never played fifa on the last 3 because its trash online. i actually played fifa 14 on my ds and i had a good time but i still didnt expect anything because it was a ds and it didnt even have online modes on ds
