Purchased the Freeloader recently and looking forward to using it in s number of set ups when the Bass season opens here in Ontario Canada. Thanks also for alerting me to the Smash Tech Blade Aid. It looks like it has tremendous action. I need to order some for fishing.
I dont think you will be disappointed in those Smash Tech Blade Aides, I think they are hands down the best. Sometimes hard to get, but the best. Cheers and tight lines!!
Ha… I already have some of these… but… haven’t tried yet lol. Thanks as always Steve!!!! HNY hope all is well!!! :)
I will try those, but I’m a big fan of the hog farmer spunk shad as my number one bladed jig trailer.
I've had no luck with this type of trailer, only zako, or this was jam couple years ago ' pit boss.
I'm going to get some and try them out simply because they are made by Rapala and I've had really good results from Rapala products since I started fishing roughly 50 years ago. The tail design is a good design for a really subtle action that is more desirable during the pre pre pre spawn conditions we are experiencing right now. I am also considering trimming the sides down to a slimmer profile and putting them on an A-rig. Subtlety is key during the winter and these should work well. 👍🇺🇸
I think you will like em. I will say, the subtle action still is quite good. Cheers and tight lines!!
I found them at Academy bought 8 packs in different colors have one on a fire craw chatterbait now
It is a great bait! I just bought 6 packs various colors at Academy Sports! Wheeler I also feel is Daman!
These are great baits, and Wheeler is catching everything on em so we know they work. Cheers and tight lines!!
That bait works really well for mid-strolling. It has flat sides unlike the spunk shad so it gets a really good side to side roll to it. I don’t use it for a Chatterbait trailer at all, I stick with the spunk shad on chatterbaits and use the freeloader for mid-strolling.
I just picked a pack up I’ll see come spring how they do I grabbed some of the bronco they look really good can’t wait for spring
I like this one. Thanks Steve.

I try to always watch UA-cam videos to the very end or completion. I have heard watching videos to the end is very important to the content/channel owner so he can receive good results from UA-cam. The extra minute plus of dead air video was needless. I watched it to the very end. 5:30. Regardless, it was an excellent review and I have purchased some for my chatter baits. Thanks.
if all this baits on the market are made in Asia of course they are going to look alike what do you expect.. for me personally if a bait catches fish is all I care about.
Is this similar to the hog farmer spunk shad? Those are my favorite chatterbait trailers but I'm willing to try this one
Don't forget the Damiki heads
The Damiki is fatter and stiffer. It also doesn't have th larger ring or bulb on tail.. But it still is a good bait.
@@booster4470 I like using the belly weighted Damiki Jig heads on almost everything. I even like to use a Queen Tackle Switchblade on Damiki Heads when I need the flash and chatter.
@@booster4470 over all, Scrounger heads are magical for straight tail trailers and Jerkbaits. If you haven't tried one of these, you are missing out.
@@booster4470 pretty sure Wheeler uses a straight tale on the Damiki Jig Heads for the technique he's become famous for.
Smash-Tech Baits Blade Aid 4? What's the 4? I see a Smash-Tech Baits Blade Aid on TW. It's a 5" bait. Great video as usual!!
You say you like a Chatterbait trailer that has girth and bulkiness. Just by looking at pics online, that Smash-Tech Baits Blade Aid looks way thinner than this.
By girth I mean at the front of the bait. The Blade Aide is HANDS DOWN my favorite trailer, and truthfully I don't really use any others. TY for the comment. Cheers!!
Looks like a spunk shad or the same concept
Yeah its right there. I should really look and compare both and see how close they are. Cheers!!
Nice bait Steve! My zman🍕🍻 micro baits has the bulb in.the tail, and floats super good, and it adds good tail action just on a ballhead when swam. I'd use this bait on a scrounger or a chatterbaits. Go Steve 🎣🍕🍻
The tail still sends causes vibration that the fish feel. Own it? Yep, you know it!
I prefer a trailer with a more subtle action ( the Happy Trailer is a favorite) I’ll definitely give these a shot 🍻
I enjoy your extended videos a lot. You started your channel out that way and glad to see you rediscovering that format. Not every viewer has the attention span of a gnat. Keep it up and thanks for the great content!
Thank you......I REALLY APPRECIATE the kind words. Cheers!!
