Excellent video. Once I got the products in it was very simple to fix using this video. Saved my $200 Paddle for about $20. Thanks again!
Great to hear 🙏
Love that you are so meticulous! Thanks for sharing your technique.
Thank you so much and thanks for noticing
Congratulations on your workmanship, clean shop, planned job, excellent skills give perfect results.
Thank you very much
Excited to see this i need a loved paddle to be fixed
How much would this type of repair cost?mine is the exact break as yours I was wondering how much you’d charge to fix mine.
$50 you ship would work
Do you have an upload that we can hear you speak?
Is this paddle still holding up?
Very well not one issue better and stronger than new
Which grip do you have on this paddle at the end of the video?
It’s just a generic I grabbed at a sporting goods store
do you offer this as a service? what area are you in?
Yes I do I’m in GA
Nice!! [Do you offer a mail- in service where I can pay you to do the work instead of trusting myself?]
Yes what is the issue and what type paddle
@pickleballtech901 sorry I am just now getting plugged back in! The paddle is an Electra Electrum. The "spine" on one side of the handle has cracked because one of the places where they are joined has separated.
[Terrible explanation-- sorry -- but I can seen you pics if you give me an email address. Thanks!!
Can I mail you mine to fix? I’ll pay you to fix it.
Yes sir
What paddle do you have
It's an Engage Encore EX 6.0. It slipped out of my son's hand on an overhead. I've tried to repair the handle once but he played with it yesterday and it broke while he was swinging, so I guess the polymer glue did not hold. The break is at the neck of the handle, just like yours. He also crushed a bit of the edge which you could look at. I didn't even attempt taking off the edge guard to look at it. If you can't do anything for that it's not a big deal. I just hate to trash such a nice paddle for a kid who is in college and buy him a cheapie.

Did you get my email? @@pickleballtech901
Do you have an email address that I could send pics of that cracked handle that we discussed to? [Again, wanted to see if it's something you'd be able to do. Thanks!]

Uh, I don't think so. Clicking on the epoxy link in this video, one finds the suggested amazon product costing nearly $60. And the carbon fiber link finds a product costing $40. So you can spend a minimum of $100 (not including taxes) and, assuming you have the equipment to cut and sand the carbon fiber neatly and the apparently lengthy amount of time it takes to do the project, why not just BUY A NEW PADDLE?
This cost is for Simone one like me that can do multiple repairs for this price you can find the product in smaller quantities for sure
@@pickleballtech901 ... Understood. Perhaps if I had multiple paddles to repair, it would be worth the investment. But I have only one. So I'm going to try a product called "fiber weld" instead. Years ago I used the precursor product, called fiberfix, for a different application and it worked wonderfully. I will repost here in a week or so after I have tried it for my broken paddle handle, and let you know whether it works for this. Thanks for posting your video and for your reply. Dink well, and stay out of the kitchen.
Can I send you my paddle and have you do the exact repair for me? I would compensate you.
Yes of course
“Easy”?? What you did does not look easy. What an amazing job. Sheesh. Not sure if $10 of carbon and $55 of epoxy is going to be worth it all. And not sure I can do it as well as you did.
You can do it
@@pickleballtech901 - It’s a solid maybe. Hahahaha.
Ok, I found a smaller size of the same epoxy, so supplies will arrive tomorrow! How did you cut the carbon fiber?
@@JeffreyPinkerton yes a band saw with a fine blade but a coping saw with a fine blade will work too
@@pickleballtech901 - Thanks! Mine is also wobbly side to side, so I might try and reinforce the edges of the grip as well. I’ll do your method first and if it’s solid, then I won’t. Wish me luck!
I think I'll just buy a new one.
