Life Will Change was playing on speakers in Shibuya while an actual Phantom Thief was walking through. That’s perfection.
kind of like in the game where there were people pretending to be phantom thieves without knowing they were in the presence of the actual ones. its surprising how realistic the game ended up being despite the numerous absurdities

Erika being in Shibuya while Persona music is playing, but nobody knows she’s Ann reminds me of the Phantom Thieves being around literally everyone talking about them without knowing they are right there.
To be fair she does have a mask on. It’s hard to recognize anyone in a mask

I was just at the part where I told Akechi that Ryuji was a phantom thief because I thought telling this like a joke was the least suspicious way of dealing with the situation and Ryujis reaction basically confirmed it :D

Well they may be familiar with their Japanese voice actress versus the English one though as person does have Japanese voices.

Because the real voice of Ann is japanese + everyone play in japanese for better immersion and better voice acting.

Fun fact but at the same time super sad on my part. I knew him as Arataki Itto before I knew him as Ryuji and it bothers me I played genshin before persona 5.

Dang, her voice actress really IS just as exuberant and adorable as Ann herself, it really did feel like I was watching Ann explore around. The ACTUAL Persona references are crazy too, I love that Tokyo did that. What an awesome tribute.
I love how Central Street was playing the music and had a "Steal your heart." sign while one of the Phantom Thieves was walking down it. Not going to lie, for a second when you panned up to look at the giant Panda, I was half expecting to see a Hologram of a flying bank.

Japanese local here. I'm so glad to see you enjoying the honeymoon here in Tokyo. Just FYI, the neighborhood near Leblanc (a small bar in real life) is not entirely a residential spot as there are more restaurants, diners, and bars than housing. Definitely not a place to hold 1000 tourists or shooting cosplay but just casually checking out is no problem. This is also a small trivia but there's a building called Carrot Tower near the station that has observation deck on 26th floor. And there's one specific window from which you can look down the roof of Leblanc and the bathhouse (the building actually appears in the game as a background during Shido's election campaign when Ryuji goes face to face with him). Anyways the small tips aside I hope you enjoyed the rest of the trip in Japan.
I wonder if anyone there in Japan played the English dub of the video game and recognized your voice
I'm sure some people have to help learn english but I think the voice she uses for Ann is different from her regular voice.

I liked her voice acting but when I played my 2nd play in japananese I found her take to he more annoying than what she was portrayed in Japanese

As coincidence would have it I started another playthrough a few days back.

I've never felt so familiar with a city I've never been to in a country I've never been to. Persona 5 is really going to be a lifesaver if I ever decide to go to Tokyo, particularly when it comes to the subway lines!
Tokyo is an amazing place. Glad I visited there a few years ago.
It's crazy they modeled a whole city after persona 5. So imagine my suprise when I found out the Egyptians built a empire in anticipation of the games release.
I feel like a lot of voice actors don't even play the stuff they wind up in. Was pretty cool to see you hanging out at just the right spot in the underground mall, I saw that and I was like "Damn she played it!"

OK, that's SUPER awesome!!!! The Persona music playing in Shibuya is awesome! I JUST found out Halloween has picked up in popularity in Japan. It was not a huge thing up until the 2000s it's HUGE in Shibuya.

Been to Tokyo several times but I don't think I ever thought to look for the underground mall. Been to the hideout and crossing and shinjuku and a bunch of other locations, but never realized the underground mall was that accurate

I think you're pretty much right about where you learn speeches. And where Yusuke is. Funny how these areas get burned into your mind. I've been to Tokyo and Harajuku once before all the way back in 2008, but I don't think I was at Shibuya, that'll be next on my list when I go back.
