Its a worse kick then you realize. The hips at the bottom are connected by cartilage. This techques seeks to break it. Its why your not allowed to hit bellow the belt in boxing.
The donkey kick tends to be more a backwards thrust like I show at the end, rather than a flick, but yeah very similar. The front footwork is what really sets it apart
As someone who's trained in Northern Shaolin, our Tao Sifu taught this on occasion and it's remarkably effective during sparring and can nullify a "forward rushing" opponent. Ever seen a horse kick with it's rear leg? Was taught by a ranch owner that if you see it's rear leg "move forward" get back and to the horse's oblique side! And fast!
Definitely! Just need to be careful where you plant it 😛 Sometimes my Shaolin roots still make me reflexively go for a groin shot! Luckily I always manage to stop myself 😂
This is the way I was crushing bools on my estate.Always '' running away bools crusher '' was my nick name.
😂 if it fits!
THANKS SIFU

doesn't that make it a 'better' kick?
Boxing? What?
I think he means worse to receive 🙂
A great point! Not just your nuts being cracked 😛
@@KungFit once that cartilage is broke you can't put your weight on both legs. One or the other .
Vietnam again.... Câu Liêm - Hooking slash.....but it could be translated as: Sickle Kick.

@@KungFit great kick when one's fully padded up head to toe and to your point not so much if it's light sparring no gear.
