Teofimo Lopez was NEVER undisputed. Despite beating Lomachenko and holding the WBA, IBF, WBO, and Ring titles, the WBC franchise title Lomachenko held isn't the traditional WBC world title. Devin Haney held the actual WBC title, which Lopez never won. Lopez admitted in videos that Top Rank and he were trying to avoid Haney by taking the IBF route, effectively freezing Haney out of the unification process. This controversy highlights that Lopez, while highly accomplished, did not secure the undisputed status in the lightweight division.
