- A fan video tribute I made for the TV show 'Longmire'. The song is "Sail" from Alwonation; it's used in episode 1x05 'Dog Soldier'.

Bravo to Netflix for picking up this show and running with it. It's the best show around. The cast is superb, the scenery is spectacular and the stories are interesting and different from the run of the mill crime or reality shows on TV today. Would love to see this be around another ten years but I know that's probably not going to happen. I'll just enjoy it while it's here. If there were nothing else on Netflix, I'd still pay the monthly fee, just to see this show.
I hope this show is around for a long time. I started reading the books. So well waiting for the 5th season to come out go check the books out. I pick up book and was hook. This is the time ware I say the TV show is just has good has the books.

But far from the best TV show around there are 50 + TV shows way better than this Boardwalk Empire the wire Sopranos Ozark stranger things Low Winter Sun Fargo house of cards I mean this is a decent show but it is not the best thing around you must be from the country or something

funny they did... I think since they weren't what they are now they just wanted to grab anything. Definitely not other show on they're roster lives up to this. only 3 Seasons too
I thoroughly enjoyed Peter Weller in this show. I know he directed an episode maybe more- but his character Lucian was just bad ass. The rest of the cast speaks for itself-but I don’t think Peter Weller got enough recognition. He always had me laughing out loud when his turn came about.

Great video. Longmire is, in my opinion, the BEST western TV show of all time (I'm 65 and I've seen them all). And if you love Longmire TV then you'll be surprised to know that the Longmire books are even better! If you haven't read them, do your self a favor and read them, but be sure to read them in order. You will then see where many episodes come from and many scenes in some episodes come from, sometimes in a different story line but you should recognize the scene. Longmire is the best.

Indeed, I wonder why TV Longmire doesn't say "Boy Howdy" like book Longmire does? Maybe I should direct that at Craig Johnson, in fact I think I will.
I pick up book one in Nov and was hook. I am just finishing the last one. And can't wait for the next book to be out at end of may. This is one of the times I say the book and the show are awesome. Normally I read the books and can't stand the show or movie. I'm hook on Longmire. And I agree where is boy howdy and Dog. And the whole Vic/ Walt thing. And the TV show needs more Lucian.

So the show isn't that good then? If this is the only video that can make someone a fan of the show and it doesn't then the show isn't good or people are just simple and don't really know how things work but you need to sell the show more if you get a 4 minute video and that's all you get to love the show as you say then I guess it's probably not that good at all you should be many aspects and reasons to watch

Since I started watching Longmire, I've been hook on these great series. I really enjoy looking at "Sheriff Longmire" (Robert Taylor) he's one rough, tall, fabulous deep voice & super handsome man. I'm glad my friend told me about this series. I've watched all episodes & will continue to watch more to come.."Thanks" - Netflix for continuing this show.

I just started watching this show on Netflix a week ago. Now I'm done with 1-3 seasons and I can't get enough of this show. It's a great modern western. Love it!!! Can't wait for season 4...

Wonderful tribute vid. :) #LongLiveLongmire. Such an incredible series and just a joy to watch. Full credit to Robert Taylor for his magnificent portrayal of the Sheriff and for what in my view was hands down the best American accent by an Aussie actor that Ive heard. He just totally owned Walter Longmire! The rest of the cast were equally compelling in their respective roles. I very much enjoyed the various story arcs over the 6 seasons and the New Mexico scenery was absolutely breath-taking. Also the music choices for each episode, couldnt have been more perfect. It was so good to watch. It left me wanting more. I heard that a movie or two could be in the making, which if true, would totally make my day. I live in hope :)

I can't believe the idiots at A&E cancelled this show, the most popular on their network by the way, at the end of the third season. This was the one show I rearranged my schedule to make sure I never missed an episode when it aired, and even then I DVDed every episode. Some network needs to pick this series up for season four.
Netflix picked up the show for a 4th season! Filming starts in a couple of weeks (March) and the shows should be released in the summer.

Watch the Longmire series twice, and all you forgot will come back. Great writing, acting, good actor choices, great camera scenes. Many people in production, etc. are excellent at this. Wish all tv watching was this good. Finally, a good Netflix series.

I’ve never actually written a fan letter to actors, but, boy, do I want to do that with these fine actors. Robert Taylor was born for this role, an Australian actor who treats cowboy Walt with great respect. Walt is not perfect but his decency makes you love him. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched this series over and over just to hear his voice and watch Vic punch someone. She’s a force to be reckoned with! Many of the characters deserve to be brought back. Why can’t Netflix do the right thing? This series has gained many more viewers since it closed down production. Bring the series
back! It’s really okay to have older actors on screen. The fans are older too. And plenty of younger fans have come to find this series a favorite. I’ve never become attached to characters in a series before. The ending felt a little forced for the leads and I could strangle Vic for saying “I don’t know if we are meant to be together.” What???? Even from early episodes we all saw the undercurrent of longing between Walt and Vic. A closed door between Walt and Vic and they’re looking at that door wishing for the other to come through it. The longing for each other was always there even as they tried to be involved with other partners. We all knew those attachments would never work. Walt was an honest and decent man. Vic was tough, smart, loyal, and loved him from the start. This was a great series. It deserves another run with the same great cast. Love Longmire! I’m a newbie fan. Just discovered this series on Netflix. So I know there are new fans to this show. And we all want more stories.

Behind the "police story" the show is about friendship, honesty, integrity and love. The main character lives his life simply following these principles.
And I think this is why the show was very popular... among the older ones. Despite the world changing Walt refuse to change himself. A great man.
