My Great Grandma used a very large armour lard bucket with a lid that she kept under the sink so that the kitchen didn't stink. Fed em all the scraps. So I'd try to find a big lard bucket or something with a lid. Great vid btw.
Pigs seem to enjoy food so intensely, like way more so than we do. It's like most food tastes so incredibly amazingly tasty to pigs, and even unfresh expired food tastes good to them. Pigs ferociously gobble up each meal in the same way we would when not having eatin in 3 days. What makes food so incredibly wonderful to pigs? Do they have even more active taste buds than we do? Do their stomachs digest food faster making their stomachs empty again sooner than ours do? Is it a combination of both?
That’s a good question that I don’t know the answer to. However I can say all my life a hog will just gobble up slop. No matter how nasty it may look to us .. seems like the nastier it is the better they like it lol
Yes sure do.. back in the day I’ve saw the old timers completely raise out a hog on table scraps and spoiled food.. nothing else. A hog can eat pretty much anything you don’t eat. Kinda disgusting but having a hog around means nothing goes to waist
They have an endless supply of feed there in the feeder. The slop is just a treat. I mean you see me get the feed from the feeder right there in the video man.
I love everything about this video from you’re accent to the pig sounds 😅
Haha thanks!
Me too 😊 absolutely the best ! I used to walk my granny to the pin and watch her do this !

Only 1/3 of a bucket for 6 pigs? Your tight, it’s amazing their not dead from malnutrition
