In my jurisdiction "Battery-powered alarms must have 10-year, sealed, nonrechargeable, non-replaceable batteries." Has been the case for like half a decade or more already. I am surprised replaceable battery alarms are still even sold.

Thanks for watching. I was just in a Home Depot yesterday. The current offerings for smoke detectors were replacement battery type, wired type, and 10 year sealed lithium battery type.
And then some various smoke & carbon monoxide combo detectors..
