Could you use the warp tool on the whole piece to give it some perspective? Looking up or down?

I didn't even think of that, but yes, that would work and help with the perspective. Great suggestion! I will point that out in my next video.

I watched the replay. If your anchor point is in a different location will the shape shear differently?

The anchor point does not appear to have a bearing on the shear tool. It seems to shear from the center of the object.
