Please bare in mind I had to cut the bit when I was walking half way in the Canada Place Mall the Sercuity guard stopped me I told me that I need to permit and I told him I'm not waiting for 48 hours for a permit and he tried to tell that Canary wharf is a private Facility according to business standards I told him the shopping centre is very public so I know you no able to see that because I had to skip that part so I continued filming the part where I was Close to the Elizabeth Line Station
At 04:05 just about I when I was walking🚶🏿♂️ pass the samsung store🧑🏿💻 the security guard 💂♂️ pull me up 😂

Many thanks for uploading this video even though that security guard tried to stop you from filming. Nice for once to see a comparison between the two lines, especially with both having platform edge doors.

It's ridiculous that they stop people filming with a video camera when almost everyone already films with their smartphones! What's the difference between filming with a video camera and a smartphone? They're just being petty for the sake of it.
Yeah. I once got kicked out of Canary Wharf, because apparently heaving a DSLR makes you a professional photographer (for which you indeed need a permit which costs LOADS as you have to provide insurance, ...). Filming and Photography for "private purposes" is allowed, but private purposes do not include sharing on social media. I don't really get it, but that seems to be possible with UK law, so whatever. Now I'm sitting on a pile of really cool architecture photography I can't show anyone because I'd probably get sued to death if I watermark my images to protect my copyright.
Edit: You're also not allowed to carry anything else than a standard tripod which must be removable at all times, can't fly drones (ok - this one I understand), and are strictly forbidden to photograph any entrances in detail. This includes pointing your camera to it, guards will ask you to change your angle, even though you have a polarizing filter on it and can't see anything through the glass anyways. The whole place is just a nest of clowns.

@@dustojnikhummer UK photography law is weird. These specific rules apply to canary wharf only, can't comment on any other privately owned publicly accessible land.
My biggest grief is that none of this makes sense. If I were to extract information as a bad actor, I'd cast some japanese actors with a selfie stick. There are smartphones with zoom lenses nowadays, and if I want to play with a big zoom lens I'd just use the DLR platform and be in and out before anybody catches me. It's play pretend security theatre.

Absolute legend for uploading this. I was wondering how long this walk was and how much of it would potentially be outside. This was brilliant - its a 6 minute walk at best, at commuter pace and only 30 seconds outside (in case its raining).
The development of Canary Wharf Elizabeth line station has changed the surrounding area beyond recognition. It seems a much more personable space geared to city workers, local residents and tourists. All of whom have different needs. A particular favourite of mine is the public rooftop garden with its tropical planting.

West India Quay station is the closest to the elizabeth line
Btw, if you want to avoid the guards you can walk outside, you only have to go in at Cabbot Place, although it does take slightly longer
It's the eastern entrance on upper bank street which looks like a more simple transfer, don't you think?
Canary Wharf is easy I must say. I’ve changed from DLR to Jubilee Line and it’s only couple minutes walk between the 2 stations.
And these stations are shown to be connected. No there not same with the dlr if you have to go though a ticket barrier it’s a different station and they are with all the same name
I did the change on the day after the Elizabeth line opened but the other way around Elizabeth line to Jubilee line. Whilst I wouldn’t claim to have a detailed knowledge of Canary Wharf ( the place) I have been there sufficient number of times to know approximately where I am going without following all the signage. I think however to anyone new changing between the two lines for the first time the signage is not always obvious, easy to get lost going through the shopping mall . Also there is a part of the change you have to do going outside with not a lot of shelter, would not be pleasant in bad weather, a covered walkway between the shopping centre and Elizabeth line would be useful.
The signage to/from the Elizabeth line is something that was clearly lacking in places (not just here) and I heard several members of staff say that they knew about certain specific problems.
There's a route between Crossrail Place and the mall under Canada Square where the outside bit is under a roof. It's quite a way east of the way this video went, near the other entrance down to the Elizabeth line platforms.

@@X2K9 There's a weird thing around that part of Canary Wharf where there's no Google Street View (and I believe that is put down to "security reasons"), but I don't think this guy was objecting to your filming on the basis of that, I reckon he just fancied a confrontation. Well played for continuing to film.
Canary Wharf is private property, you are better off with a permit. Saves hassle.

Can you do this transfer at night? Coming from the O2 I thought I could do Jubilee and the Elizabeth line at Canarf Wharf but not sure if Canada Place shuts at night?

Lots.of vlogger s have trouble filming at Canary Wharf. My camera is attached to my wheelchair so I haven't been spotted lol. Coming tomorrow going to do Paddington purple train to Canary wharf and the. West I did to poplar then poplar to east india. Then. On Thursday I want to try east I did to custo. House and the. Custom house through to Canary wharf see which works best for me in the wheel chair.

I filmed quite happily in Canary Wharf I filmed a Lifts there and the shopping centre I even got stuck in the lift and They did not bother me filming the whole thing.
He probably is black, then it's a major problem...
