Hello Doctor, I've been getting mixed signals from my doc and PT. THE neuro doctor said that I should have been walking years ago. And my PCP told me that in 2018 she wanted to see me out of the wheelchair to a walker then a cane. I was so happy to hear that news that tears came to my eyes. Now ten years later I'm still in a wheelchair while the PT companies tell me to forget about it. Yet a nerur at Hartford CT hospital told me last year what have they been doing to you? There's no reason for me not to be walking! I had the stroke in 2014 I was at home going to bed and woke up in Yale-New Haven hospital. Doctor I'm not giving up old fashioned southern hardheaded. I don't want to hear that I reached my limit, yet my insurance tells me that I have many more times I can go for treatment, the pt company tells me that they are worried about their insurance company and that I will have to live with being in a wheelchair for life! I should not be taken to that way, and yes, I'm deeply depressed and on a whole host of meds. Plus, my seizures and a broken left hip which thank God has healed. I've turned to UA-cam because of the hope that this median has given me. I'm not giving up! Yes, I'm so damn made at these people thinking profits before people crap. If they would heal us, then they can move on to another patient! Tell me, am I wrong?
Please reply to Michael Cook, 1534 Berlin Turnpike apt. 308 Wethfield, CT06109 God bless and have a blessed day!
    I don't
always remember to check my emails! Telling my age hint 10-10-1952!
What's hurts is that was my home and my job was a live-in care giver to a 48-year-old who is autistic, non-verbal male who I've known for over 12 years working with him for him to see me on the floor I guess I fell out of the bed and he was sitting / standing over me not knowing what to do! I felt so hurt for him, I'am sure tjhat I told have to tell you the amount of water that came out of my eyes when I woke up with him standing next to my bed. He has a day program with another staff member who found me on the floor. When I did wake up I found that I could- not talk -just for a couple of days. My niece told me that I had dad two strokes and that I should really thank GOD! Do you thinkb that you might be able to work a small miracle and help me walk again. This has already cost me an relationship due to ED. And it's been ten or 11 years since I had a kiss! I know if I don't use it I lose it! My phone number is 860-881-0373. you have to let it ring since I'm still in a wheelchair.
    Thank- you once again
    Michael Cook

Hello, I like this exercise a lot, I'm seeking guidance please, it's not stroke related but a family member was diagnosed with a tumor on her spine, tumor is now dormant but she's gone through surgery, radiation and chemotherapy and now just trying to walk again. With this, she lost strength on her lower body, no muscles on her legs, it's all skin and bones, what kind of strengthening exercises can you recommend for us please. With covid and limitations in our country, she's not able to see a PT, I would truly appreciate some tips that you could give us. Thank you in advance

This is not one day project...Every day yo be done... Have seen my relatives and my dad..everyday is a progress... surrounded people hav to teach and talk to them and motivate..First have to start with bed exercises then make them sit everyday...make them stand everyday and ask thwm to press the affected leg as much as they can...next is good food..adding pepper turmeric and veegtables and greens to diet helps..other tip is using oil massage we use narayana thaila and also ayurveda thaila sudarshana thaila massage from amazon.. progress is slow but worth it..we shoild alsontry to get a flouwer cot so affected person can bend their body make them sit in cot itself

I had a surgery on my neck and after the surgery I had a stroke. It affected my left side so I'm trying to find out how I can work on getting my balance back. So I googled some exercises and saw u doing ur videos. I have problems with my balance, knee hypertension, & the hand folding up as well it's pain goes from my shoulder all the way to my hands. It's very painful.

Thanks for watching! I am not sure when you need to lift your heel. Can you explain a little bit more about what you are trying to accomplish or what type of activity you are trying to "re-learn"?

Thanks so much for these videos! How do you ensure that you dont tilt when practicing this exercise of standing and swaying from left to right using the red line as the midpoint, where you know or perceive that the involved leg is shorter than the other leg?

it is hard to give a specific "therapy" for your mom. If she is still in the hospital I am assuming her stroke happened recently. I would learn as much as you can from her therapists so that you can help her between therapy sessions :)
