Hey guys, we are getting a lot of comments asking about specific moves and whether we missed them. So we'll just answer you all at once here. As we mentioned in the beginning of the video, this list is not comprehensive and people can categorize moves differently. We just split them into these main styles/categories because we think it would be helpful for beginners to have a basic way of categorizing moves.
Mind blown from infinity to beyond. I am utterly speechless. Today was my introduction to an artform I never knew existed but one I always wanted to do, if that makes any sense. I discoverd all this because I was on Facebook and saw a kickstarter ad for Ellusionist's new beginers set, which led me to check out their website and UA-cam channel which led me to card tricks which is my favorite type of magic and then I wanted to learn how to do those fancy card moves which led me to the world of cardistry and to your channel here on UA-cam. Thank you so much for this incredible artform that I am so wanting to be a part of. This is the coolest thing I have ever seen and I want to see more and learn all that I can. Wow. I am now a new subscriber, keep up the great videos.
Really informative, I didn’t expect to see me on here too, thanks! I always thought Andrei Jikh introduced the interlocking concept with his Interlock Split in Genesis v2, but I realize now his and Aviv’s came out at the same time. Aviv’s was definitely the first modern interlock though. Good job!
@@yiklongtay6029 tobias Levin fan bous happened thinking that you must value your cards like pices of gold but xcm is starting to take shape again on ig with noel Aviv nikita Lars and lukas
Since you included Interlocks, you could have also mentioned other styles of packet cutting, like comfy cuts, combo/flow cuts, spins, complex cuts. Also, do you think flashy, layman friendly flourishes like cascades should be in their own category?
I could never convey to young people how incredibly lucky they are to live young in these times. Of course, people of *EVERY* generation has that same sentiment, thanks to the ever-increasing speed at which we develop technology. Cardistry wasn't even a thing when I was growing up. The closest thing there was back then were the typical flourishes that magicians used in their card magic routines. And even if cardistry *had* been a thing, there was no UA-cam. The Internet didn't even exist back then. Lucky bastards! XD
lotusinhand I know, but I thought it was an interesting piece of trivia, so I commented in case someone was interested, since it wasnt mentioned in the video. Sorry if it came off wrong ^^ Love your work!
Aron Que Marr -Arun Kumar yea ultimately there is no absolute way to categorize moves. These are just how we defined the categories in this video to make it easier for beginners to learn and categorize moves.
Suggestion: There should be a category where you can infuse more then one packet into each other to make great movements, the name should be "Infusions".

Crediting moves in 2018? Who would have thought.
Justin Ye holy sh
I will still stick to Jaspas alright
These daily videos make me so happy. Also, didn't know jaspas created isos
The art has come so far since the Decknique days. So many people killing it!
I think friffle, Cascade, waterwheel or waterbender etc. are a own category too. I mean they are not really areals...

I’m glad you pointed out that Jaspas created the first isolation. People think it was Zach but he just popularized it
You are taking cardistry to the next level ☺
This is super insightful, thank you so much, now I still have to figure out what I like xD
Cardistry is amazing.
the werm and sybil are the most iconic displays
You are an inspiration. Thank you.
That mockingbird was crazy , never seen such speed
After quite a long time, I finally know what Jaspas' real name is.
Jaspas real name is Justin Ye lol
Really?
Yeah!! Meybe
Ye.
Really ?!
OMG
Amazing work! Love from Taiwan!
One of the best videos
Mockingbird is one of my favorite moves ever
Very informative video.
You done great job! Dope movie !
So awesome
5:45 How?
Which is the name of the movement at 3:12?
XCM was insane back in the day.
What happened. How was it like in the past? Now all I see are tame intermediate moves.

This is so good guys!😍✌
How about Priourette and Padidle categorize?
wouldnt that be a card twirl of some sort?
Hmm..... probably Also I little bit confuse wich categorize do Legolove and Pincho belong to
i think they're both utility/combo moves. in combination with something else they would prob make a two handed cut. but idk.
This is so good
fresh idea (y)
I thought that the first interlock move is interlock deck split by Andrei Jikh?

Thanks
@@dreamsdreams9493 No problem. Also the tutorial link is here ua-cam.com/video/5MiqDxD_SJg/v-deo.html&ab_channel=dealersgrip
What a level
can anyone tell the name of the deck at 2:31 pls ?
That would be our very own Ventus playing cards :)
Where did you find digital artists table work video?? Looks so cool but cant even find a performance
Thomas - I believe that footage came from one of the Handlordz Kickass videos. There are only 3 so should not be hard to find it.
Video aside... Jaspas just got exposed as Justin Ye
NEVER heard the name
The charlier cut was originally used as a pass, not a flourish.
Sagit Swag don't think we claimed that it was first done as a flourish.
lotusinhand I know, but I thought it was an interesting piece of trivia, so I commented in case someone was interested, since it wasnt mentioned in the video. Sorry if it came off wrong ^^ Love your work!
No problem! Sorry for misunderstanding as well.
The werm should have been the first display category move
Yes!
At the beginning there where some books. Can you name them ? Are they good to learn Cardistry or can you recommend others? :)
The specific book we showed was Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes by Jerry Cestkowski, which you can find on Amazon.
@@lotusinhand Thank you
2:08 what is that card?
That's our deck Ventus playing cards!
I have a long way to go...
dope
what about combo moves???these are quit recently made
정우진 as we explained in the video we will have a future video explaining in detail the smaller emerging styles. Including combos
ohhhhh ok i think category is the right word for this video then
Flourish in 4.38 ?
Rock the Boat by Billy Markowitz, which we may or may not have a tutorial coming soon for ;)
Have some full vedio performance?
Desperation you can probably find a performance on his instagram account @billymarkovsky
0:53 what is the name of the deck
Ventus
Did he just skip springs and cascades.
Also flower fans.
Aron Que Marr -Arun Kumar the spring falls under the aerial category and flower fan should quite intuitively fall under the fans and spreads category
I don't agree with the former but Im not here to argue.
Aron Que Marr -Arun Kumar yea ultimately there is no absolute way to categorize moves. These are just how we defined the categories in this video to make it easier for beginners to learn and categorize moves.
I just watched yang nguen's video lol
I think you forgot springs and padiddle and combos
They all have one thing in common. Long slender hands.
cascade
lol.. Interesting as f*ck!^^
looks at my rev cut*
